  1. Good work mate, congrats on the purchase!
  2. Ive actually got some loose wiring there, one of the connectors is just hanging loose and im not sure where its supposed to go..lol i should i look into that!
  3. Over the last 2 years without counting corrado's that are owned by personal friends etc i have seen 4-5 in total and ive done about 20k in that time mostly in or around london. Sucks.
  4. Jeez that looks awesome already. Im jealous lol.
  5. I like em, would drive a camaro happily if it were rhd.

    16x10 on Corrado

Just leave it mate, not worth it, you'll end up with gay looking arches and too much poke and the car will look like a proper fat maccyd's yank from behind (no offence yanks). 9s are the way foward. You could do 10s if you get the offsets dead on but i couldn't help you there and even then it'll look realy overweight and drive crap. For a 10J, id run a 225/40 i guess. Basically what im trying to say is, for the hassle you will go through its not worth it. For a 'wide' look id run 8-9's up front with et 15-25ish, out back go with 9's and et 10-20. You want an et about10mm lower for the back unless u want the front wheels to poke more. Also, depends on the wheel's design as dished wheels dont tend to clear brakes too well lol.
  7. I remember following the first 15-20 pages or so when the project first begun but never bothered to check the end result. I must say, i think its a fair bit nicer than the coupe M3's. Dont know why, maybe its just because its different? Awesome build none the less... So who's driven an E46 M3? What are they like?
  8. I reckon its down to your luck, u can buy a 3k sh*tter or a 2k gem! Regardless of that though i do think that vr's cost a bit more to run than valvers (ive now owned both), cant comment on G's. I say go VR if insurance is cheap enough and u can find a decent one which u can no probs for 3k.
  9. Thanks chaps, it only took a couple of hours aswell!! Im pretty chuffed too, need to clean the throttle body today and the battery tray so will update later. Im finally feelin the love for the car, i didnt even get peed off when the hose blew lol. Ill tell u what guys, i bought one of those hose repair kits from halfords, not their brand though, made by Haris as I had no choice but to do a few missions and ive so far done 140 miles with minimal leaking lol. Admitedly ive been driving like a granny though. Ive got a spare one in my boot just incase aswell... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165691 Edit: I just remembered ive gotta fit the hose lol. Problem is, someone has used a jubilee clip where the hose connects to the engine and the damn screw is posititioned so its directly under the coilpack so that'll have to come off too. Or if i can find some tinsnips ill just chop it off...
  10. No real updates as ive been a bit busy and a lazy bum in general with regards to the rado lol. Ive still not fitted the projectors but will do this weekend along with the paintwork detail. I did however detail the bay and give it a good lick of paint as it was looking very shoddy before, everything was discoloured and mucky. How the bay looked when i bought the car.... And now, ive still got more work to do btw, need to somehow machine polish all the paint on show in the bay too as its a mess. I also want some red HT leads as these blue magnecors just dont go with the colours of my car... I have also been thinking about relocating the battery to the boot as it'll allow me to run a bigger batt for the sound system etc but i know the paint underneath is going to be shabby so i dont think ill bother. They're all from one angle because i haven't taken the batt out yet and cleaned that side of the bay up yet. I also need to wrap some of the fan wiring as its exposed at the mo. Theres no dressing on the plastics etc btw. Oh and the top hose decided to let go on me a few days ago about 5mins from my house so i took it nice and easy and got it home and this is what resulted lol. Anyway, got a new one now thanks to Alonzo that im going to fit tommorow. Heres some general pics of the car in a clean state. Once the paint is finally detailed it should look pretty awesome but i dont look foward to removing the side strips lol. I also want to tint the rear lights but once again laziness has got the best of me. Oh im also thinking of changing all the plastic trim to black but keeping the beige leather. Its a bit too high maintenance for me and 'refined' if u will lol. If anyone wants to swap everything with me (carpet, roof lining, plastic trims, pillars etc NOT SEATS) for black let me know! Thats all for now folks, thanks for reading.
  11. Never owned a G but 120+ at a 100mph still seems high to me. My valver at that speed used to sit at 100-108 deg and my vr does it at about 100, the highest reading i had was on my test track where i got 116 deg at 140ish in the vr... the valver hated rainy days though for some reason and once saw 128 deg after 4 hours of stop start traffic lol. At least the G's running well now eh... :D
  12. Me too, im not sure where but last time i saw em on the bay they were 279 plus delivery for RHD cars.
  13. I agree with what Kev said but at the same time a Skyline is a Skyline imo. Not even worth comparing. Sorry Id personally be buying an R32/33 if i could afford to run one etc.
  14. Depends on offsets. Assuming an offset of 10-20 which is the norm i guess for this size you will stull scrub with rolled arches if u run low unless the arches are pulled and/or u run camber. Even then you'll need to stretch on a 205/40 or 215/35 at the widest. Anything bigger and your arches are going to need a full rework if u want to have the car decked as per your avatar, mind you if u want the car that low your going to have to pull the arches even with 9s.
  15. What coils u goin with this time mate? Look foward to the progress!
  16. Come on, elaborate lol. Good news though fella.
  17. Your mate either can't drive or he's got something seriously amiss with his DC2 !. Im pretty sure hes is a stock 190bhp model? I dont reallly rape him untill we pass speed limit but yeah before that its pretty equal, i always seem to pull away though once im in 3rd. Oh and we've swapped cars and the same thing happens. Mind you, im convinced my vr's got some more work done as its quicker then others ive driven but i wont know untill i RR it i guess so will update on my thread soon... Which car do u prefer overall? Not talking about as a daily or a weekend car but if u had to name one, which?
  18. Ive been out in both a number of times now, well i own a vr a friend has a dc2. I hate to say it but i struggle like no mans business to keep up with dc2 in the twistys and the corrado normaly leaves most hot hatch type cars when it sees bends! I would have one but couldnt live with it everyday like u said, just too unrefined, I dont mind harsh rides etc but i cant stand road noise and the teg has loads of it. Amazing drivers cars though and i am quite fond of the whole Vtec thing! I do rape him in the straights though
  19. Kunal you got unlucky dude... I cleaned the interior properly the other day and cleaned and fed the seats. Ill get some pics up later. No other updates. Ive lost all interest tbh. Oh and ive got a good job now so quite pleased.
  20. Before you go off breaking it have you thought about just puting it back to standard? Just things like the grill, the coils and the rear lights should bag u 300 odd quid as oe parts dont cost much. Then just drop the price to your final price but with no offers. If u can change the suspension yourself you should get a good 300 quid for the weitecs if in good nick, £50 for the lights, £30-40 for the grill, £400ish for the leathers and loom, £200ish for the speakers/amp (depending on models etc) Thats nearly 1k there, ok lets say after buying oe parts u spent another 150 and u had shitty luck selling parts you've still got at least 5-600 in your pocket. Then you could drop the price to 1700ish no offers i reckon and get it sold easy. Thats what id do, i was about to do it with my valver but luckily got it sold for a decent price in the end.
  21. How does that work? I know Karmann built em but everything was designed and branded as VWs right? Or were they badged up later? :? Any pics of the ones at Wolfsburg and Osnabruch?
  22. Interesting... you literally learn something new everyday with these cars lol
  23. I had my vr Vag com'd as it would come intermitently while driving and nothing came up, had the garage check the above while i was there and nothing and the cars driving perfect so i just disconnected the ABS light. Its a distraction when driving lol.
  24. Depends on ur budget mate, i had weitec Gt's on my valver and while the handling was out of this world the ride was super stiff tbh, it wasnt so bad on 17s but the lower you went the more unbarable it got. Ive now had FK Konigsports on both my vr and my mk3 and tbh they're awesome, handling isnt as great but not far off. The ride however is soo much smoother and more comfortable. Go for the stainless ones if u can.
  25. I'm not really getting what you're after to be honest? a) you say drifting is for fools, but you want more sideways action (which is the fundamental definition of drifting??) :confused4: but then also b) you say you want more sideways action - but the whole reason people AWD their front wheel drive cars is to dramatically improve grip, not to slide it around corners?? the effort you have to go to to slide an AWD round a corner on a road is so severe you're well past any limits or predictability - thats what the whole quattro system is put on audis for?? I'm not trying to speak for you but it sounds like to have the kind of experience you want on the road you want the chuckability of rear wheel drive rather than all 4 wheels driven?? Too much of a certain street racer film me thinks.  I quite clearly lol'd at my own hypocrisy; being able to make ur car slide about as a you please for jokes at medium to high speeds is completely different to pushing it to the point where u need 4wd to pull ur ass in round a bend or else you'll be sliding off into other cars/barriers etc. Like i said, the corrado when set up well is a capable car in fwd form, if while driving fast without show boating you manage to get it to step out you are driving too fast and you do need to lose your license. The only reason i can see u wanting 4wd in a corrado is if you're running a VRT with 300+ bhp, in which case you'll be spending 10k plus easy i reckon. If u have the cash and know how then go for it.
