VR6OC - GTI Spring Festival
MarkFoster replied to VR6Pete's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Always enjoy this show but unfortunately I can't make this year. Nice to see the usual weather has been ordered; intermittent showers, lol. -
VR6 Ignition leads... VW no longer supply! :(

Can you not get Magnecor's in black? -
Errr, no don't!
-
Errr, keep it?
-
Jeez, if that engine needs painting mine needs a priest! ;) M.

LOL! If I could I would my friend.

I hope this doesn't embarrass but, there appears to be a rather large typo in your ad. Towards the bottom it appears to say, price £3500 when obviously it should read £4500. £75k and Recaros; get your price up my friend! You have a moral duty to raise the potential value of all our cars with this little beauty, lol! In all seriousness, I do realise it will take longer to sell at a higher price but it's only if owners stick to their guns that values rise. Have you seen the price of certain generation 911's these days?! Mark

Good work Sir, I found that Autoglymn tar remover worked pretty well too. Put it on with a sponge or similar so that you can hold it against the glue to get it nice and soft. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_195697_langId_-1_categoryId_165682 M.

Err, that's impressive research there Portent, but you appear to have posted the poor chaps full name, address and phone number on a public forum....he hasn't actually done anything wrong. I'm tempted to ask how you did that but I'm not sure I actually want to know how easy it is to pull people's details down off the net! M.

Lol, priceless!
-
That's brilliant - I love it!

There was a user on here called Blue95 (I think) who built a 20v synchro - I think he may have sold it now but you should find his build thread if you try a quick search. M.

.....said the actress to the vicar!

But how much is too much...? M.

Agreed; seen it done a few cars (sometime ago now) and it really doesn't work

The car or the Playboy channel?

By the look of the graphs, I reckon you'll be back for the Race Logic setup fairly soon...

I have a set of 10mm FK's on the back to push the RCs out a bit. To be honest I haven't noticed any difference in handling and the wheels fill the arches nicely now. The hub centric extension was strangely wrong though and worringly broke off when I tightened the wheels bolts! I ended up grinding them back so that they were smooth and the hub extension projects far enough to pick up the wheels - not ideal though.... I'm super careful when putting them on and tighten everything with a torque wrench but it still plays on my mind. When the car's back on the road I think I'll replace them; H&R's are reassuringly expensive.... M.

If you do go down this route make sure you're very careful with it; there was a nasty accident at the last Bruntingthorpe Inters where a car on the strip went into the crowd after the dope hadn't fitted his quick release steering wheel properly...
-
Hmmm, I'm not sure that's the sort of thing that should be shared on a public forum...! Lol

Good to see you got it sorted, and thanks for a nice post which will hopefully help other members in the future. :)

It may be senility setting in, but I quite like this!

Brand new unpainted number plate light cover with screws
MarkFoster replied to OllieVR6's topic in Parts for Sale
Classic parts do them - there was a group buy done by Pat McCrotch a while back.... Probably where Ollie got this one originally(?). M.
