I've just bought a couple of water mist extinguishers. Dont leave all the corrosive powder residue but the bottle is a little large. Good video demoing them on this site. http://www.safelincs.co.uk/e-series-water-mist-fire-extinguishers/

Dont forget the G40 too for badges. Its a fairly limited market over here but there are loads of them in portugal for a start. We have a few members from the continent on Club G40 who I'm sure would spread the word if you started doing badges for them.

Not sure of colour but was on speed lines in the mc'ds drive through on Thursday evening at Tankersley near Barnsley. Just saw the wheels and the shape of the front of the car though the hedge as I was going around the roundabout. Also a blue m reg vr yesterday at the mini roundabout in greasbrough, Rotherham. Looked a nice motor.

They havent got any VR heads left. Sold the last ones to forum members when I asked last month. They quoted me £445 +vat +£20 postage to refurb my head. I got mine refurbed at a local engine place for £215 in the end.

If you get a headgasket set from GSF its a victor reinz and you get all the relevant exhaust manifold, inlet gaskets, stem seals etc. I replaced the water pump whist it was all apart too. You still need to raise the block but its a lot easier to get to with everything out of the way.

I've just finished a head gasket swap after steam coming out of the exhaust, coolant loss and a misfire for the first few minutes of the engine starting. In the end the steam coming out was in clouds so if it gets worse you'll know about it!

whats the fuel consumption on a Corrado VR6 sports auto

We've had one for years. As said on a run I've had decent mpg figures out of it but around town they are pretty bad. It's the stop start stuff where you use the juice with them but you could say the same for a manual. I've just had a blast out in ours this evening and its still very good fun, even with the slush box. -
Does anyone remember the 80's and 90's game Elite?

First thing they hit was your docking computer and then I always crashed into the space station. Played it for hours on my amiga 1200. -
If you've got one of those plastic bits spare I'd take one off you please.

Ha, we nearly moved to oz a few years ago and would have taken our blackberry vr6 with aircon. Stayed here though. You have got some nice old rust free air cooled stuff over there.

Paid. Thanks for sorting again!

Check out this thread and get in touch with Pete. He sourced all the stuff for 40's rather than 60's but its all the same other than the scroll bearing. He's spent a long time making sure all the stuff he uses/supplies is top quality. http://www.polog40.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,2824.0.html

All the bearings have the oil supply from the engine but the boost return is to lube the apex seals as they seal onto the charger walls. The oil supply from the engine goes nowhere near those (or shouldnt).

I havent got a suitable picture to offer at the moment but just to say I will defo have one of these. Had one the last two years and they've been great.

Is the bonnet cable in good condition? If so how much please if you still have it. -
Looks like you are doing a proper job on it. I've probably missed this at some point but whatever happened to your Mk1? I remember reading a thread on CGTi about it years ago to the point where you stripped it down. Was a lovely looking car that.

Maybe he works for Ferrari?!

After a bit of advice if anyone has any experience with this situation. The other week I remembered the MOT was probably about due on the C. It ran out on the bank holiday sunday and I realised on the friday evening so I ran around saturday morning trying to get it done. Now the usual place I use couldn't fit me in but I stumbled across another place that could and they were only £20, brilliant. Now the bloke who did the test was rude and annoying but given the situation I put up with it and walked out with a pass sheet. It was a painful affair and not one I'll go into fully but my issue is the advisory list. I'll list the ones with issues below. Nearside rear suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush Offside rear suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush Nearside inner rear brake pipe slightly corroded Offside inner rear brake pipe slightly corroded Centre nearside inner rear brake pipe slightly corroded Centre office brake pipe slightly corroded Rear brake pads wearing thin Now at the time a couple of things struck me as odd, one being that I had the rear bushes replaced a couple of years back which I pointed out to him and he insisted there was play in them. I replaced all the brake pads and discs at once a couple of years back and thought it was odd the rears had worn before the fronts. Now today I've taken the car to a mechanic I trust implicitly, he went to school with my brother so is know in my family for years and he's a top lad. He says there is nothing wrong with any of the above at all. He also gave me a couple of examples of this guy doing similar things to other people to the point where when the tester was challenged with a passed MOT from another tester, and the customer saying there was nothing wrong with the car, he paid them off not to shop him apparently. Where would I get with a complaint to VOSA? I'm assuming he could just say I've changed the parts since the MOT was done which was a couple of weeks ago now? The guy seems as dodgy as anything and stuff like this annoys me greatly. Part of me thinks I should chalk it down to experience and just not go there again but what also gets to me is the list of stuff on the advisory list for anyone buying the car will make it look like there is loads wrong with it and its been neglected when it hasn't.
