Have you got a stainless exhaust on it ? The stainless tends to give out more condensation then a mild steel exhaust

fitting a non adjustable steering column (how-to)
dragon green replied to davidwort's topic in Drivetrain
The bolt part number on page one is for the Allen bolts. the sheer bolt part number is 411417549, you need two, £1.99 each ! got a quote for the corrado non-adj column-£85.10 ! (535419503H) -
Theres a small bolt that holds the toothed metal ring on, perhaps its come loose ! just pull the outer plastic "adjuster" knob off, and see if it needs tightening, one minute job,if that !
-
It just pulls off ! theres a metal wheel underneath it that the plastic outer clips into !
-
It does work, but has its drawbacks - if you drive through a large puddle,it could be likened to driving a mobile sauna ! If you leave the car ungaraged, it tends to draw in moisture (see above) if its not a good quality stainless header,it will quickly rust ! You want to keep exhaust temperature down, have it camcoated, inside and out , it works ! just my 2p worth thats tried both ways, heres a link, have a look, lots of different colours http://www.camcoat.u-net.com/

it takes 10 minutes to swap the instrument cluster ! Not that i would do that sort of thing, :cuckoo:
-
Buy them as a pair ! or if you just replace one you will find you will have increased braking on one side ! the last thing you need when braking hard is the car to swerve !!

do mk2 golf recaro seats go as low as the corrado recaros
dragon green replied to mart h's topic in Interior
if the base of your new seats are metal, there's nothing stopping you from welding the existing corrado sub-frames directly onto your new seats,if they are of a composite material, you will have to adapt the sub-frames and make them boltable ! Not a five minute fix, but a lot of people have utilised the corrado sub-frame -

As i am collecting parts to fit the non adj. steering column, what i need to know is what size is the polo column ? as i have an aftermarket steering wheel on it,that uses the small spline, does the polo column come with the small spline,or the larger spline ? Hope this is understandable ? -

Is the Polo spline the large one, or the small one ? i have an aftermarket boss thats a small spline, will i have to get the large spline boss, or do i put my old "bus" wheel back on -
