For anyone who PM'd me, I have replied but i'm not sure if the messages are actually being sent. They don't appear to be in my message outbox?

    Pedal Box

Hi I'm after a Pedal box with Hydraulic clutch. It would be nice if the master cylinder was still attached but i'll live if it isn't. I'm in the East Midlands - Lincolnshire so will travel a little to collect. Postage would be good as well! Thanks Sean
  9. Winner, do you also have the radiator support panel? Where abouts are you?
  10. Cash waiting. I can collect but I am based in the East Midlands in South Central Lincolnshire. Must be structually sound. I'm not concerned if they are a bit tatty though. many thanks Sean
  11. I can see the point in the wire locking but it isn't at all required if torqued correctly and thread locked if required. Not without wanting to rain on your parade, the wire-locking for the stub axle is of such a low quality of job that it isn't really doing anything constructive. I'm an engineer on Military Helicopters and have done my fair share of wire locking to know what I am on about......
  12. Seeing as it should be for sale properly in the right section, I'll PM you.
  13. Well, Not been on here for a while! I'm looking to get rid of this, Need the space. She really is going this time! Currently stands with no dashboard and no electrics from the fuse board to the steering column. No Porsche seats or GTi Steering wheel but I have all of the original stuff ready to go back in for anyone wishing to stick her back together. Offers? I'm not going to be robbed as it has V1's, Cat Back Milltek, 312 conversion, 17 BBS RXII's (although the tyres have stood still for a while so could do with replacement) She has stood under a cover in the garage for a year so there is no moss growing all over her! WHo wants this!? Needs a battery and a trailer to take away!
  14. I've had it back just about 2 weeks now... Long long story short... I mechanically over revved it, cocked up, broke the engine and had to have a new one fitted....
  15. Yeah it's all back and fixed now! Wont go into details as I cba now but it took me 6 weeks to get it back! Washed it the other day and it was gleaming, spotless in fact and it has rained since so is really minging now!!
  16. It was from a private dealer and has a "customer protect" warranty with a 2k limit on it per claim. Hopefully it will be ok! I've heard of that guy in Wallingford Poll, but I took it to AutoFarm at Weston on the Green. I work in Wallingford but these people are closer to where I am in Witney. They luckily (for me!!) have had a few cancellations due to the Ash in the Sky so could fit me in! Will hopefully get a phone call this avro to see what is what!
  17. Cheers guys! I'm going to make the previous owner aware of what has happened but not jump to any conclusions until I know the full story, The car was beautifully sweet until it went. The specialist is going to take it apart this afternoon and let me know what's what. Hopefully nothing "TOO" major! The car has only done 17k in the last 11 years, so maybe my using it has accelerated anything that was ageing through lack of use!
  18. Well that was short and sweet! Overtaking some traffic yesterday when the engine let go! Loud knocking and as I pulled into a side road not more than 20 seconds later, the whole thing stalled and won't restart.... The AA guy reckons its a dropped valve but not too sure, usually they will still run on the other 5 cylinders. Do timing chains break?!? Happy? Nope! Will see what the warranty is made of though! I've already found out it won't pay for diagnostics! That's one hell of a bill for me before they even tell me what's wrong! Oh well! Back in Team Polo for now!
  19. Well I picked her up yesterday, what an awesome machine to pilot! That is all!
  20. To test CV joints, put on a full lock and drive slowly with the windows open. If there is a clicking noise then your CV joint is most likely on its way out.... There is a balance weight on the right hand driveshaft, maybe this is loose and catching?
  21. Thank you :) Amazing what you can find for the price of an average new Focus....
