I think you can adjust the steering column slightly at the joint between the column and the rack. Not sure how exactly but it results in tightening up of the rack. Maybe that can help?

Not had a chance to write him an email yet. Life is busy in the Jaymo household at the moment! -
There are some pics in my thread, I'm on my tablet so it's not so easy to link them to this thread! Look about 10 pages in I think from memory!

Anyone know that this plug is by the fuse box?

Depends on whether it is a white wire with a blue tracer on it or a blue wire with a white tracer. 2 different wires! The tracer is the thinner colour of the 2. -
Yeah I did do my own conversion SwiftKid, I'll help where I can! Perksy, You don't need the yellow line. I left diagnostics already in the car alone and ran the diagnostics from the ECU to the diagnostics block behind the dash above the centre tunnel. Simples :)
-
That wire is for the diagnostics. Signal on grey, power on yellow. I'll be very surprised if there was a specific pin for mpg signal. The inputs to the mk4 cluster don't have a mpg specific pin suggesting that the mpg is over the canbus. I have access to a bosch ecu manual so I'll look into it!

Some forums already do this, the vr6oc being one of them I believe?

Storm Grey VR6 MOT... passed yesterday... phew!

My favourite colour ever for a Corrado. Congrats on getting it through the MOT for a relatively small fee :-) -
It's a lottery to be honest. If you have recently bleed the clutch line or let the fluid run low then chances are you have damaged the master, otherwise no sure fire way unfortunately.

What radio is that? Looks very subtle and has an air of oem plus! I like it!

Slow and steady is definitely the game here! Only been at it 13 months so far with this heap! House deposit saving makes me feel bad if I spend more than 40 quid a month on it. It's soon going to get very expensive in comparison when I mot, tax and stick some fuel in it! I've found a complete set of door and boot seals in virtually perfect condition to also fit, along with having to replace the radiator switch and tidy up the wiring behind the dash! Slow and steady indeed! -
No rubber bungs came on my Goodrich lines! Never seen any on any braided lines, only the rubber sleeve which I used to put a tywrap over without having the actual line binding.

Got a replacement mirror in the post from Clumpy earlier and fitted that so the car is looking more and more like a car everyday! Pleasure to do with business with as always! For those picture lovers out there, it's a blue car with a blue mirror -
Ahh afraid I can't help anymore than that with him. I ordered something of him the other week and I got a response within 24 hours There isn't a difference AFAIK.

Matt is really not the best for contacting but the work he does is top notch! I find that his website e-mail system is pants and he works on a US time zone compared with a UK one! Most e-mails I get from him are gone past 1 am! I email him directly at [email protected] instead of using their poor website. Shame he doesn't come across too well but he is really busy so must be in high enough demand to not have enough hours in his day to not worry about fixing his website

I wont lie James, I never took that photo, I got it from United Motorsports and just reused it on here! I am chuffed to bits though! Fitting an exhaust on your own on a gravel driveway on axle stands is a bit difficult! It sounds a bit tappetty and the idle is sitting at 1000 for some reason and I never had these problems before the exhaust so I must have disturbed something! Also found that the yellow temp sensor must be up the ricker as the fans only come on at 110ish degrees which indicates that the black switch is working! I do have a spare yellow sensor which I will try at some point and see what I can do! Either that or my rad thermoswitch is dead! -

Well, It drives!! I got a conversion downpipe from United Motorsports and fitted that along with the rest of the stock system earlier today. Only got one photo and it's not brilliant but shows the new downpipe. Was a bit of a pig to fit as I had to drop the rear axle but I got there eventually! Got it all up and running but there are a few snags to sort out then we can look at getting her through her MOT! -
You can physically get at the slave OK but it under coolant pipes and getting onto the bolts that hold it in place tend to be a pig!
-
Perfect, how much do you want for it?
-
Not difficult. Access is poor but not the end of the world. 2 nuts and a clip onto the clutch pedal itself. The slave cylinder is more of a pig though!
-
I think it's block 107 mate.
-
I agree, as somebody else who has rescued a potential skip filler, it is hugely satisfying to get it back up and running in decent condition!
