It's a big job yes. Gearbox off. These are cartridge type bearings from memory and not simple to regrease. But then a new bearing is less than a tenner. If it drives OK apart from the noise, then I'd be tempted to just put up with it. If you do charge the bearing, then it's best to change the clutch as well seeing as you're in there.

Plenty of people who know random cra p on here. Glad it helped out!
-
Because they are supposed to plug into the multi block just behind the dash I mentioned earlier.
-
The brown plug is the OBD feed, Yellow as power and grey as data. The Black is the power feed for the ashtray light or heater control lights I think? The single grey plug is also a diagnostic data feed I think? There should be a multiplug behind the centre console where the data feeds plug into and then there is a obd plug feed coming from that. Bit naff photos on my screen though so not entirely sure.

Keep both man!

Actually, sod the wheels, I know they are epic and all that (touch of bias here!) but it's the brakes I love! Damn it Mic, the car hasn't made it through the MOT yet and I'm already wanting bigger brakes!
-
I asked in VW the other week and they are about 70. Don't know the number though sorry.

Live the irony in the username! If it can't be fixed without a welder, then I'm not restoring it!

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Not just me then! My wifes golf is Gipping! -
Twin! Obviously you have better brakes, suspension and exhaust and paint!
-
They're cool in a retro kind of way!
-
It's the exhaust I'm thinking of for when I get my standard system replaced. I had a milltek on my last car and liked it. Much prefer the idea of this though

The spoiler, actual aerodynamic aid or marketing ploy?

My 964 had one, but it was for cooling purposes. -
They can be, but they are delicate and a tenner extra for those rings is ridiculous!

Aaron's VR6 - is now R32'd - that sweet, sweet noise! (Page 20)

Kev is the engine modding guru on here, so taking some of his advice is going to save you plenty of cash! :) -
I paid about £65 for my braided conversion kit from c and r. £115 doesn't sound right?
-
You just need to be a contortionist to get down there!
-
Good price but unfortunately it's a little too rich for me at the moment!
-
If you get the hanging one, space is tight behind the fuse box so something to consider when you mount everything up.
-
Easy fix, there is a resistor on the fan unit itself that burns out. Swap it for a 70p maplin resistor and job done. I'm on my phone so can't help anymore. Stick vw fan resistor into Google and see what you think.
-
The level changes depending on how much lock you have. Best to get the pump running to bleed it else you'll be there a while!

I think there is an ibiza one you can use. The mk3 will fit but the curve on it won't match the Corrado at all. I hate to be the search nazi guy, but in this case, there is a full thread on this kicking about somewhere. If I wasn't on my tablet I'd link it to you. :-)

Normally 96 onwards. Don't worry, this thread comes up very regularly!

Yes or mk4 gti calipers or carriers. You just need to source late mk3 gti or vr6 pads and discs then.

Ahh, but when you are struggling with it, smile to yourself as you know it will never have to happen again!
