Trimsport VW Corrado Carbon Fibre Rear Number Plate Holder

I'd be interested in various composite bits and pieces. Namely spoilers and wing mirrors! -
That's what that video is about!

Ah so my idea isn't completely crap then!

I'm fairly sure this this kind of technology has been running in F1 cars for a while. 18-20k rpm usually results in valve float in anything heavier than a bike engine. The difference being they use hydraulics and not air due to compression issues. It's one of the reasons a F1 engine can add and dump revs so easily!

I bought a set of JustMatz at a show 4 or 5 years ago, I was really impressed with them, thick and heavy with a quality feel.

Aye I know the 24v air intake is on the opposite side to the 12v. I was going to get a 180 degree bend and route it down to the 12v side. It may not be the absolute best for airflow, but I would rather have slightly turbulent airflow that is cool instead of air that has passed through the radiator before being ingested by the engine.

Has anyone fitted one of these to a 24v? I'm trying to figure out my induction route now!

Off the top my head the fuel relay is number 109 and the ecu is 67 but has been superseded by a number 167. I'll check tomorrow for you.

For sale I have a pair of fully working 5 1/4 inch DLS B5A Speakers. These are fairly high end speaker and although they are "only" 80 Watt speakers, the quality is unsurpassed for the money. In a fully working and virtually immaculate condition. Collection Preferred but will happily post at cost. Located in Lincolnshire LN4. £50 OVNO

An ignition switch would not allow the car to turn over but not fire, the clicking is more than likely the sound of the relays trying to latch on. They are located by your right knee and forward by about a foot or so.
-
I'd say that as well, the ecu relay is about 15 quid from tps.

Cheers Aide, ill look into that stuff and see what's what! It'll take longer to get her back on the road but at least I'll have years of trouble free motoring hopefully seeing as most of the mechanics will be new and all of the bushing fresh! Just need to sort out fans, sunroof, lights, wipers, radio, parcelshelf, body work etc etc etc! -
Something sounds a bit suspect around the battery!

There should be a thin clip that you need to slide out and then it should separate easily.

Who lives or shops in little old Coningsby then? Sat 22 June

Threads that go on like this embarrass the forum, he came on here looking for advice and it turned into a lot of people jumping on soap boxes! This is how the mighty clubgti began its fall from grace!

I think many people have tried to fix the mpg problem and as far as I know, nobody has got it to work yet. I'll be hugely impressed if you can make it work :-) I don't think anyone else has been an electrical engineer tho!

X contact relay or bad earth between the engine and shell would be where I would start. The bad earth could do what you describe exactly. Check the gearbox/engine earth strap for security of fitment and cleanliness. Some immobilisers will let the car start and then cut out, others will cut the fuel pump and others cut out the starter circuit so it's almost impossible to blame that straight away.

I've been bitten by that fault before! I was having trouble getting the radio to come on and was minutes from buying a new one when I con tested the fuse! 5p fuse changed, £200 saved!

Rant all you want, what I actually said was that you should get what you are entitled too, not what you can get away with. I'm all for fair and compensation and all that jazz, but what i'm trying to get across is that people shouldn't claim for something they are not entitled too. You won't get any cash from him personally, you will just be shafting his insurance company which will pass on the cost to everyone else come renewal time. I feel for your situation, I really do. I wouldn't wish on the situation on anyone. And yes, as you ask, I do have personal experience of your situation....
-
I can see why people get angry with insurers and want as much as possible out of them, but that is the reason why everybodys insurance is high! Take what you are owed by all means but the claim culture in this country that everyone seems to be jumping into is costing us all dearly in the long run!

Does the mk4 carrier then bolt straight up to it or is there a offset problem?
