    I think I've read that sometimes the throttle bodies on the 1.8T can get "gummed up" as well but not sure if it would cause the problem you described? Ian.

    " Bobby - very sorry, but all those interior parts have gone except the grey parcel shelf which you can have collected for £10. Ian - I'll be back there tomorrow, I'll check for you then, but £12 delivered? vw_singh - I'm afraid that they were glued and the surround was cracked.
