  1. Yup, all grey, but can be re-trimmed. I have had roof linings re-trimmed in black velour and alcantara.
  2. The CTN box itself, in common with any 4 cylinder 02A gearbox, is a straight bolt on fit to your Corrado G60. The only change that you will need to make is to fit a different shift cable bracket that orientates the cables into an over and under configuration, as opposed to the side by side set up you will have as standard on your stock G60 system. Your clutch slave cylinder will transfer over as too will your speedo drive. Just for clarity the driveshafts are same fit. If however you were looking at fitting a LSD, you would need to check what type of drive flanges were fitted ie bolt in or press in. With regard to the clutch, any 02A clutch will fit. We fit the VR6 clutches with this conversion, for the slightly greater clamping force upgrade, as most folks fit this box as part of an overall power upgrade. While we are on this thought train, we also fit one of our lightened and balanced flywheels as well to improve response. I hope this helps. http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk
  3. I'm glad to have offered another option, even if only to give clarity, for your current choice. I understand your desire for apparent simplicity, but with our insight into the Aquamist systems, into a wide selection of VAG vehicles, once fitted the results have been to the satisfaction of all our customers. Aquamist offer dedicated systems for application and custom components to ensure the best performance. My own Corrado is running with the latest Aquamist system. I can't believe that I am hearing an enthusiast state, that he believes his vehicle does not warrant the best and will settle for less. Utilising the latest technology and exceptional quality Aquamist is without doubt, the best option for your WMI needs. Come over to our workshops and I'll take you out for a test drive in my 8P Audi S3 to demo Aquamist, there is so much more to WMI than "on/off" I look forward to hearing from you.
  4. Wellcome, looks like you have found yourself a great looking example. Silver is a colour that has been done to death on current vehicles, that said however, it always remains special on a Corrado. My first Corrado was to be a silver G60, and I remember being sincerely disappointed when the deal fell through. I look forward to seeing more pics and how your Corrado experience develops.
  5. We are suppliers and approved installers of Aquamist water methanol injection systems. It was our pleasure to recently supply Dan with a kit for his G60 and fit custom injectors into his inlet manifold and induction pipe. If you wish to know more about these supremely well engineered and managed WMI systems, it will be our pleasure to answer your questions. We Look forward to hearing from you. Regards, John JMR Ltd http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk
  6. Many things I have seen appear on this forum over the many years, but a blooming "Wedge", really??
  7. This is not a problem, we will need to discuss some detail here to ensure you get the best result. Can you call me at the workshop on Monday so we can firm up a package to meet your needs. JMR Ltd 01903 718684. I look forward to hearing from you.
  8. [emoji15] indeed. Not the best moment of research undertaken, more a stab in the dark, which is probably just exactly what the individual responsible deserved [emoji1]
  9. We are Milltek approved stockist and supplier. This new Classic system is a great addition to any Corrado and is a much improved product over the previous system. The Classic Corrado system has been designed to cater for the later bar type hanger equipped Corrados, but we have been able to carry out on car modification to allow figment to the earlier hook type hanger Corrados. This new system is offered with the option for resonated or non-resonated system , non-resonated being a little louder and more of a Sports sound. We have already fitted a number of these systems, I will try to sort a sound clip for you. Very highly recommended product from the market leading supplier of S/S sports exhaust systems. http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk
  10. We normally strip the gearbox as part of a rebuild and then sandblast the casings, as opposed to shot blast. The finer grit affords a more OEM finish, rather this than the coarse finish given by shot. We then powder coat the casings with clear lacquer to give an OEM look. Combine this with re-plated metal components and any 02A gearbox looks fantastic. http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk If you were to try blast cleaning without strip down, this is possible but always risky with the chance of blasting media damage or internal contamination. Chances are that your gearbox has never been looked at in its life and this would be the ideal opportunity to do so. Also you could have the right job done, without the need to re-visit this aspect of the vehicle for many years to come.
  11. Thank you for your interest. We have a number of interested parties watching the development of our AWD diff. The current state of play is that we are having some final engineering issues to iron out on the dry sump drive and also to install KW's HLS4 system. We will then be able to get on the rolling road to map the new 16VT engine. This done my Corrado will be ready to get road testing underway, at long last. Our other hold up on this project is we have been intensely busy completing our customers project builds and my Corrado has to be fitted in wherever possible, which isn't too often at present. I have been into the workshop this morning and hopefully as a result of which, will be able to complete the final engineering mods to the dry sump drive very soon. I will post detail of our diff in the near future, but if you would like to discuss please contact us at the workshop after the Easter weekend. However please note we will be with KW in Germany from next Wednesday, returning to UK on Saturday. Hopefully returning with my HLS4 system [emoji1] I look forward to hearing from you, our contact details can be found on our website. http://www.johnmitchellracing.co.uk Regards, John
  12. So in summary, it's a classic car, sharing the traits you describe in common with all classics. Despite this however, the Corrado is loved for the classic it is and we are seeing increasing numbers of cars being presented for restoration. The prices people are having to pay to purchase Corrados, in reasonable or better condition, is on the rise. Yes, good examples are getting harder to find. Yes, parts are equally hard to locate. Yes, keeping a Corrado on the road in good order does present its challenges. But finally times are changing and values are rising, giving owners a glimpse of hope and encouragement to persevere. Can we as enthusiasts stop talking down the value of our cars. We need the value of this modern classic to climb, to in part secure its future.
  13. They have been totally remiss in their dealings with our request for info on repair or exchange of this unit. We have phoned them a number of times without either reply, or when they do answer we get some vague response. In summary, useless.
  14. Thank you for your thoughts and kind offer of assistance. I am familiar with the issues these units have and would have been only too happy to repair in house if it were possible. Regards, John JMR Ltd
  15. So are we saying, ABS pumps are like Busses?! [emoji1]
  16. As per the title, we urgently require an ABS pump for M plate VR6. Had no joy at all from BBA Re-Man on this matter, so a good used item is needed. If you have a pump in known good working order, that is also known to have no fault codes at the time of removal, then I would be most interested to hear from you. With the greatest respect, please no questionable units. Our customer has already endured sufficient irritation from A N Other garage, who's incompetent work caused total failure to a rear wheel bearing and stub axle. If you can help please call 01903 718684 or message me with details. I look forward to hearing from you.

    G60 Engine or Block

Well that would be a result for you [emoji1][emoji1] Thank you for the tip on the rebuilt engines, but for me that would be like shipping coal to Newcastle [emoji3] I think I have sorted a resolve now guys, and a big thank you for all your efforts to help in our hour of need. Look forward to seeing you all at the shows this year. [emoji106][emoji106]
  18. My car has been under permanent development, it only runs on average 1 in every three years of my ownership [emoji1] There always a better set up and improvements in technology and in my own ongoing desire to play with this car. The 4WD will make possible the ability to run much greater BHP, much more than that needed to overcome the additional weight of the drivetrain. We will be getting along to a number of shows this year, so hope you'll take the opportunity to look at our system. Get your thoughts turning to an install onto your Corrado??
  19. Well in keeping with all long term project builds, the nearer one gets to completion the slower time seems to pass. We have carried out the initial mapping of the Omex 710 ECU and we have established a stable idling engine [emoji2] We have however encountered a couple of issues which have temporarily hampered progress. The Zeitronix instrument display was not wanting to accept any attempt to calibrate the oil pressure sensor and as a result we had to fit a diagnostic gauge to the engine to quantify the oil pressure being generated. This was resolved following three calls to the States and sourcing another programming cable. All calibrated now [emoji106] Our other issue was with the dry sump pump. Whilst we had pressure it was only 3 bar from cold at idle, reducing to 1 bar at 80 degrees C. Typically and on a good engine one should see between 5 & 6 bar from cold and over 1 bar at idle at full operating temperature. The recognised test procedure for oil pressure on most 4 cyl VAG engines is to see a minimum of 2 bar pressure at 2000 rpm with an oil temp of 80 degrees C. Well we were generating 1.8 bar during this test so problem. After some further investigation and re-decorating the general area blue [emoji16] the culprit was isolated. The dry sump pump had somehow been incorrectly spec'd and after a phone call to our friends at Pace Products all was sorted and a higher capacity pump is winging its way to us. While I am having to wait for the pump, I thought this would be a good time to re-furb the front Brembo's into gloss silver finish. So this is underway. While today I have been fitting a new set of sill extensions and modifying the nearside extension to allow the exhaust to exit through it. Just the offside sill extension to fit and that will have all the body trims sorted. As soon as the dry sump pump arrives it will be fitted, tested and then we are off to the rolling road to have some fun. Let's hope March enjoys some dry sunny days for the all important running process and testing our AWD centre diff. Exciting ent it [emoji1]

    G60 Engine or Block

Hi Jamie, do you have an idea as to the shipped price on a half pallet?

    G60 Engine or Block

Hey sounds like a good enough reason for another JMR road trip[emoji1][emoji1] Seriously though, I wonder what the shipping cost is on that, do you have any idea if there is any feasibility in me even raising a hope in that??
  22. Personally I can't wait. I can't wait to complete the build, can't wait to complete mapping the engine, I can't wait to complete running it in, I can't wait to drive my Corrado for the first time after three years of hard graft, I can't wait to get it off my ramp and I can't wait to finally think about something else! [emoji848][emoji1][emoji1]
  23. Not wanting to be rude but there is no comparison between FK and the various KW trilogy of coil over suspension, in as much as the KW, ST, and AP product are at the top end of the spectrum. Get a ride in a Corrado equipped with one of these brands and you will instantly see what I mean. Furthermore your Corrado will be a pleasure to drive once equipped and properly set up, with any of these kits.
