Lovely looking car there, one of the two or three best colours. Hope your initial ownership experience is better than mine though mate. I picked it up on a Friday evening a couple of weeks ago and only made it half way home before having to be recovered! It's taken over £1k off me already!! I must have been due a problem because in 5 previous Corrado I have never had so much as a flat battery!

I have 4 Alloys and 4 Tyres for sale. The Alloys are Fox FX004 (Hyper Silver) in 15" diameter. 6.5x15 ET35. The total cost of these wheels was £379 in April 2011. Since then the wheels (car) have done a mere 600 miles. The wheels are in virtually as new condition with no scuffs, scrapes or kerbing. They are straight and true with no buckles and ride beautifully. They are complete with the centre caps, also spotless. The tyres are Cooper Zeon XTC 205/50/R15 (86V). All tyres have a good level of tread, well above the wear blocks, at least 5 or 6mm. There are no gouges or marks on the tyres. All have even wear characteristics. I am looking for £160 for the combination. If you don't want the tyres (which are not currently on the alloys) then I may look at a slight reduction on the price. The original receipt for the wheels is present as is all the original packaging/boxes. Easily fit in the boot or back seats of a Corrado sized car. The wheels look very nice on the Corrado as you can see from the photos. They would make an excellent Summer wheel, or even a pristine set of wheels for your Winter Tyres?!.. The Wheels are located in Surrey, near Banstead.

Very high oil temps (VR6) + drastic reduction on switching off
Billzeebub replied to Stonejag's topic in Engine Bay
My VR is currently at Tutts of Dorking with a very similar ailment. They have investigated and are replacing the temp sender, oil pressure switches and breather pipe before road testing and then maybe looking at Oil Cooler etc. I had to be recovered by AA from Leicester Forest Services Southbound the other night because of oil temp up to 140!..water temp was ok..I await the result of their investigations this week with some trepidation. It was my first day of ownership of new car too, driving back from picking it up! Still hoping to make it to the National Day next month. Good luck with getting yours sorted, I will post up results of Tutts testing -
And me. Sat on the original Votex Corrado RoofBars..So easy to get bike on and off with the roof being so low.

Welcome, top lurking there mate

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Billzeebub replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Well, seeing as the car is not driveable at the moment (bad times) and it was a sunny day I occupied myself by giving it a thorough clean inside and out, replacing Clear Side Repeaters for factory OEM Orange. Also replaced the missing Aerial Gasket, used some silicone sealant on several poorly refitted rubber/plastic trim pieces, scrubbed carpets and installed the new scripted carpet matts and then changed the exterior black VW badges for the chrome look original items. Bought a lockable petrol cap, as the central locking on fuel filler is borked..then refurbished all the exterior plastic trim, few other bits and pieces -
That DubPower Exhaust looks really nice, OEM style. Think that may be my next purchase
-
Sounds good, VR

Not me

My local VAG Dealer is handy for parts, there are a couple of great guys on the counter who are VW enthusiasts. They are very tenacious when searching for parts and always give me a decent bit of Club discount. I wouldn't go anywhere near VW Dealer Service dept though. Most haven't even heard of the car..use a local VW Specialist in Dorking for all routine servicing, anything more specialised I would take the journey to Midlands to either DG Autotech or Stealth Raciing
-
Tempting, but I'm booked in at Stealth for a brand new one on the 1st, amongst a few other bits and pieces. I am very surprised its still for sale!?...must be the last few days of the month!?..

Hi from a Newbie to the forum, but not to Corrados
Billzeebub replied to Ken L's topic in Newbies Hangout
This is the correct response, I regret selling every single Corrado I have ever owned. Always come back!..
