Wanted Automatic gearbox trim surround & a door speaker for 94 VR6
Billzeebub replied to blueboxer's topic in Wanted
My last VR was an Auto, a 96 car that had been beautifully maintained, yet it still suffered from the creases and cracking in the Gearbox Numerical Graphics/Plastic.. Autos were always pretty rare anyway. I never looked into whether the parts are still available new. My car came with an order receipt frm a VAG Dealer stating item on back order from 2007 I think! It obviously never materialised! -
Yeah, you should definitely keep both (well, at least until I am able to purchase your VR!), live on baked beans if you have to!!?..
-
I was expecting a graceful rendering of a Corrado?!..anyone on here going to admit to having a Raddo tattoo!?!..
-
Lovely looking machine. I wish I could afford to buy it at the moment, but just committed to buying another VR. Good luck, hope it goes to a good home who will approach ownership in a similar fashion to yourself. Get some photos up of the Mk2 as and when
-
I've always debated with myself whether I should keep one in the car. Tell myself it's a good idea, then think would I really want to have a car put back on the road that had been on fire? Maybe happier to let it burn and get the agreed valuation? I will probably go and pick up a couple of these though

That interior looks sensational, top work. I love Mk2 GTIs almost as much as Raddos. I had 2x Mk2 Drivers (34k and 41k miles respectively) both in Alpine White from VAG dealers back in the day. The second to replace the first after some muppet drove up the back of it! Even 90bhp felt lovely with the Mk2 chassis. I look forward to seeing your work and experiences with the car on this thread

My last VR was a 96 Auto. You definitely have some plastic missing- it wasn't brushes on these, it was sliding plastic 'gaiters' as I recall

Low mileage Aqua with black leather, Raddo perfection
-
Nice looking, congrats on getting back on the road

Did this ever happen? If not is there anyone who now wants to proceed? I am very much up for a set of 16/17" Speedlines. It would be great if a few others wanted to upgrade too. I was primarily thinking 5 stud 16" Speedies in silver, but willing to be convinced as to the merit of the 17" etc

Original style wiper arms and wiper blades? The ones on the photo of the black J plate car would be fine if still available? I can't see if the Silver M plate has original style wiper arms then those (ie not Lupo/TT type), I would take them dependent on price posted?

I would definitely have a pair of these

Corrado Heat Shield Hood Liner (New Group Buy)
Billzeebub replied to Southie's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Missed this, in the unlikely event any VR6 spare then I will definitely have one for my new car?!... -
Lovely Aqua, the wheels really suit the colour

Sensational looking car. Saw you say you're thinking of selling up?! Advice from someone who has just paid deposit on his 6th Raddo (5th VR6), I always regret selling one and always seem to come back to them! Every time I say I won't sell this car, every time I get itchy feet and want to try other cars...but every time I buy another one! You've obviously put so much effort and love into your car. There isn't much out there this side of a Porker 993/M3 CSL that appeals more to me. Such a rare car too...I only seem to get positive comments and goodwill in the Raddo Understand your wanting to try other cars, just think very carefully before you jump, the grass is not usually greener fella?!..

To repair or to break that is the question??
Billzeebub replied to Smokiee76's topic in Newbies Hangout
Take your time getting it back out there. Don't break it, as has been mentioned 15" alloys and tyres cheap enough, likewise stereo. Reinforce your garage door with better security is the key going forward. Best of luck with it anyway -
Thanks for the offer, though think I will be going for a DVLA £250 special!..
-
Welcome, those Blackberrys look incredible in sunlight! Especially with the beige interior. Great wheels and plate too!..though, not too sure about the American style side repeaters!
-
Welcome..a super rare colour on an already very rare car. Look forward to seeing some photos and the restoration thread

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Not sure on part number because the invoice they gave me just listed the indicators. He had to order them, but said that there were quite a few sets available. It is Drift Bridge Banstead (Surrey) if you want to give them a call. Though Veedubmachine in Cornwall supplied my last set, also a couple of sets on eBay currently ---------- Post added at 11:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:30 AM ---------- Not sure on part number because the invoice they gave me just listed the indicators. The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Billzeebub replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
It's in a shocking state! Basically the top half of it is missing! I paid £55 from local VW Stealer, with a 10% CCGB discount, for the new ones -
That's a terrible thing to wake up to mate. When my cars used to be parked on the road I bought a car cover. Maybe get yourself one of those ones with the lockable straps. Halfords do a cheapish waterproof one with under car straps. Though ideally a soft lined cover would be best. If the fcukers can't see your shiny car then it may survive unscathed in future?! It has always worked for me. Hopefully you were just unlucky and it was a one off random rather than any form of targeting.. Maybe worth a look at some high-up security lighting etc.. Hope you manage to get it repaired reasonably and the scum that did it get proper smashed up by the next person they do it to!
