Hi, the 250ml Usual RRP is £9.95, and the 500ml Usual RRp is £18.95, so thats a saving of £2 on each unit, bearing in mind there is also FREE Postage and also FREE Microfibres sent aswell, Adam. All I meant is that it's cheaper to buy the 250ml one twice isn't it?! I agree though, free P&P and clothes are a good deal. If I hadn't just bought a load of stuff I'd be having some Juice!

New alloys, new front fogs, new rear plate and lose the surround (maybe a buyer above?!), de-wiper, lose the front light cover thingy and you're all good!! C's look sweet in white - proper retro! Nice looking motor buddy. -
250ml red mist for £7.95 and 500ml for £16.95?! Doesn't sound like much of a good deal to me?! Haave used a couple of products though and they are fab...well worth the outlay, even if the missus doesn't agree! However, she spends as much on moisturiser and I've told her that her face won't be looking as good as my 'rado in 10 years! Didn't go down well that one!

Mine does this sometimes but im on the old loom, just the drivers sidelight, goes of after a while but would love to know whats doing this On a previous loom i had i found both headlights on, turned out to be water in the relays. Just a thought, i've heard good things about kurbys looms (after one myself once i have the cash for it) so dont doubt they are high quality.[/quote:i20rpqvv] It was indeed water in the relays! Or 'relay' to be exact - the middle one of the three. Got them dried out and all sealed up in a little surgical glove (I'm a dentist and it was the only thing to hand!) and they seem to be fine now. Would be interested in getting a couple of spare relays though in case they go completely. Would you sell a couple on there on KUR2Y or could you let me know where to get some?

Clean the glue off - would look much better than sticking another one of them on!

Hi KUR2Y, Bought a loom from you a while back and fitted it no probs. Been working great until tonight! Got home and when I switch the lights off, either the drivers side headlight stays on or it goes off for a couple of minutes, then just lights up all by itself, even if the car is locked by alarm. I've check all the connections etc and doesn't seem to make any difference. Any ideas??

Depends on your budget and how much you're likely to tinker. Just got V1's on mine and they feel lovely. They are firm but then I'm used to an M sport ride from my last car! If you just want to adjust the height, get V1's....if you're likely to do track days then spend more. Check out the thread in the index too - pages and pages on the topic!
-
Check the rear footwell too. I had a problem with water coming in from the rear light cluster (I think that's what the garage said!) which was tracking forward. All sorted now although under the spare wheel has been getting a little moist recently too! :confused4:

What mods are there accross the whole spectrum of the car world, that offer better performance and driveability without a remap or ECU change? Not strictly a mod and going slightly off topic but running Super Unleaded has been shown to give gains all-round hasn't it? Maybe only 1-2bhp but guess it all counts. Personally, I do a lot of motorway work and don't fancy slugging in Super at near enough £1 a litre but whatever floats your boat.

Agreed. It's like changing your tyres and then reviewing them while they're flat - makes no sense. The two stages (new cams and re-map / new tyres and inflating them!) go hand-in-hand. Getting me some 263's soon and hopefully off up to Stealth to get them fitted (they don't know that mind!) so will try and get the necessary pointless charts then. Also getting some new tyres but on my 17's instead of 15's - not sure if my review would be accurate though as there are two variables in the equation :D

Hiya Zak, Received mine and fitted it this morning. As far as I can tell it's working fine - looking forward to it being dark to check the results! For anyone unsure if this can be done by someone with absolutely no technical know-how at all (i.e. - the same as me!), it can. The guide Zak includes is very easy to follow and only a little bit of common sense is required. Thanks again mate, pleasure doing business!

Got the BMC CDA fitted and you're right - it sounds fantastic! Found myself dropping a gear when I really didn't need to just to hear the roar! Got my RX's too but got a really good deal on the split rim versions so went for them. Just wondering, what tyre size have you gone for? Trying to price up tyres but the range is baffling. What have you got yours running on? Find them OK relating to price and handling etc?? Next on my list is getting it lowered now. Thinking KW V2's but not sure if I really need the extra adjustability. Just concerned that I'll regret not having it if I go for the V1's - you're very happy though so that's reassuring. Hmmm, decisions decisions!!

vornwend - I really apologise for what is about to occur but I can't help it - the photos of your car have got me sold! Got a Green Storm, exactly the same as yours when you first had it. It's been de-wipered, ordered a BMC CDA but I am now going to copy you whole-heartedly and get it lowered and get some RX's on it. Looks fab and just the look I'm after! :notworthy: Was going to go for KW V2's - what's the difference between the V1's and V2's? You're happy as Larry with the suspension set-up are you? Been meaning to get in touch with the Big V at Stealth to chat about new cams and a re-map but been so busy recently just haven't got round to it. Think I may have finally got inspired to give him a call! Did they have a look at your car before you took it up there to get sorted? I really hope mine's in good nick (90k on her and sems good) but I'm a bit concerned that they'll open her up and give me a nasty surprise! Anyway, hope you don't mind my blatant imitation of your wheels but they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I hope you're flattered rather than upset!

Out of interest mate, what did you pay for her?! There's another thread on here debating that very issue! battling with the standard Vs modded issue myself. Reversible mods seem the way to go on Storms!

I paid £5K for mine 4 months ago. To be honest, it's the best car I've had and I would've paid more. The fact that you're looking at it with a price tag of 5k means you're interested and you've got the cash to spend. If he won't lower it considerably, think whether you're prepared to spend a bit of a premium getting the car you really want. Remember, even if prices don't go back up, you're never going to lose as much as if it was a 'nearly new' car so I'd say get it, enjoy it and worry about the few hundred quid you may have saved another time!

Bit of an obscure post resurrection but got mine for £163 delivered from Regal Motorsport (see eBay). If you rinf them up they'll knock a fiver off for non-eBay purchases. Yet to fit it but hoping it's as good as everyone says!
-
Cheers mate. Posted the cheque off to you today so should get it Monday. Thanks again buddy, will post again once it's fitted.

Hi Zak, May sound like a daft question but what's the benefit of having OEM connectors? I'm a proper novice as far as fiddling with things go so would these make the loom easier to fit? Any further info much appreciated and will get a cheque off to you on the week-end. Cheers, Rhys

Save yourself a fair bit if you cancelled your policy and got a new one with windscreen cover. As mentioned, £60 odd in excess, maybe £25 cancellation charge? Over £100 in your sky rocket!

My quest for the perfect Storm! Now supercharged..

I was wondering about that. I know I said it was standard but I'm not sure if the wipers may have been done already?? I've seen lots of complaints about how crap the wipers should be but I've got to be honest and say mine seem OK. Even at 70mph + 30 they're OK!! On that note mind, I've just started using Rain-X after seeing someone suggesting it on here...brilliant stuff. Irrelevant how bad your wipers are with that stuff! Drove to work this morning in pouring rain with my wipers on intermittent and that was just in case a copper was watching! Great stuff and highly recommend it. Took my rear wiper off mind Saturday so can't see much behind me! Other mod last week-end was to add Phillips Extreme bulbs (got them off eBay for £20) and again, great purchase. Uprating the headlight loom soon but even the bulb upgrade has improved things dramatically. -

Don't say that! That was the fight I was having with myself! Do I get it mint and keep it standard or do I tinker?! In the end I figured that cars are there to be enjoyed and so I'd tinker. I may well regret this financially but can you put a price on the grin-factor?! -

I've seen how critical people can be too - I have new number plates on order and this time I will put them on straight! Regarding engine work, new cams and re-map sounds like a good (and relatively cheap!) please to start. My long term aim would be to turbo it but that'll have to wait until I've got another set of wheels to rely on! Gotta say too, I've got a lot of respect for you guys putting 13+ years into your cars. That really does show commitment to the cause...I was just starting third year in Comp school when you guys began! Hopefully mine will still be going in 13 more years...at least it'll be tax exempt by then! -
Hi Zak, I still want one please. If you PM me your address or e-mail I'll get a cheque / paypal you the money. How much for a 3-relay again? Cheers, Rhys.

And a few more...I got itchy fingers and took the rear wiper off and changed the side repeaters before getting my standard photos! Any comments / advice on the above is more than welcome.
