Nice one. The corrado is definitely suited for more power and will easily take it once properly set up. I was running 265 bhp and the chassis had no issues. Picking up a complete engine with looms and ecu is spot on and will make life easier. The wiring once you get into it isn't very difficult, the hardest part I found was trying to work the connectors behind the fuse box with limited space. There are a few people on here with 20v swaps that will be very willing to give advice but essentially they drop in very easily onto the original 16v mounts. I'm always learning myself but please ask if you need any advice, I've just dropped an AMK into mine after my mishap with my AEB engine plus have a full K04 conversion from that engine if you were interested in a bit more power. Which engine code do you have now?

Married the car?

Just jumping in and obviously second in line after culshaw but I do have a stainless miltek decat with fairly new lambda sensor going spare too. PM me if interested. Thanks

Nice touch having aircon. The amount of times I’ve been sat sweating in traffic with the windows down

For now it is a standard engine. I want to get it running before any upgrades and creating extra work to do. Next step is to wire up, fit the dbw pedal, change the exhaust and fit the 02J shifter then just enjoy it. I test drove a tuned B5 S4 last night which left me thinking nice car but not for me and I need the Corrado on the road for fun and turbo noises

It was tight but had good height clearance and did go in well, plus with the gearbox attached. I thought I would give it a look before undoing the entire front of the car. It probably saved me a couple of hours
-
It sure does. I'll be at Dublogic but not in the anni I mentioned, I spent my time on the Corrado instead! I'll be there in my Slipper Wagon probably with the Labrador too

I’ve had a good weekend fitting the new AMK 20vt. It’s bolted to the mounts and the exhaust is connected but that’s about it. I’ve been having to replace a lot of parts as I go including the n/s inner cv joint which was in a bad way. I still need to plumb and wire it up It’s all looking good so far. I’ll be taking the cam cover and inlet manifold off for powder coating. I’m thinking possibly white as a bit of a motorsport theme that may develop further but open to suggestions
-
Have you taken the bracket off to see how much of the bolt is remaining? I'd try and avoid cutting from above as you'll be going through the structural chassis leg

Could you send me some pictures and price for the wheels please. Thanks

Definitely, will look the business on the bbs.

Good news is I’ve got my job back so have had a spending spree resulting in a new engine It is an AMK so already running a K04 turbo and vvt on a small port head. Ideal for what I’m after. Turned up on a pallet, complete with looms, ecu, manifolds, turbo and all ancillaries. Whilst all of this is going on I’ve got a full 3” exhaust to fit. This is a two box system so will be louder than my three box Jetex that is currently fitted and has a 3” cut tip for that motorsport look Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you checked the flywheel is ok and not causing any issues for the clutch. I know you said no to paddle clutches but my experience of a Sachs uprated clutch has been really good and a lot more drivable on the street than I expected

I'd definitely be very interested. I would have thought if they came in at £600 - £800 that would be about right. Obviously the cheaper the better though

Just temping and going through lengthy interview processes. I was royally stitched up by one employer who offered me a job during which time I then turned down two others only to then be told they didn't have time to train me. I have two more interviews this week though. As soon as I'm out the other side the car is getting a new motor, tuning and should make it out this year hopefully

But do also get the camber set at a garage because they drive like a dog if it's off. A good alignment setup can really transform the car's handling

I have a full set in black with a green fleck. Early style but do have the cut out for electric windows. Let me know if you're interested

Very little going on of late but I've got the recaro seat backs being wrapped in a black metallic with a heavy amount of purple pearl Rods and munched pistons are out of the block. The rods look in great shape, new bearings and these will go in the next motor New goodies from Funkmotorsport. Replacement turbo blanket as the other one had a fault. This is a new design one plus a complimentary filter. Great service from these guys and a nice range of products to help protect components and in my case, stop melting things Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
