for sale 1996 Corrado VR6, Classic Green *SOLD*
Dox replied to Andy T's topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
With 3 first time posters interested in the car and not buying it it makes me wonder that with prices rising some are traders looking to pick up a bargain? I find it strange that decent cars don't sell here? Well done with the sale :) -

Is that going by the birth date (manufactured date) or date of baptism (date when registered in the UK)? I know older vdubs you can get the build date / spec etc, can you get it for newer stuff too?

Use heat first, then tap the remainder of the bolt to loosen the rust, lots of plus gas the drill for the easy out. Easy outs are a bugger to drill if you snap that too

There needs to be a sticky thread made with the info needed then a link forwarded to Bilstein to embarrass them into sorting their **** out, how hard can it be to update a database with the correct spring rates?

I've made 2 offers on his cams, both automatically declined :(

If the rust has completely filled the void between the threads then plus gas can't get into it to work its magic. Heat from a blow torch before another dousing of plus gas is your best bet -

Don't do it, the subframe itself is threaded (so no nut on the bolt). If you don't want to disturb the sump its lift the engine or drop the subframe -

I think you're right, I'm thinking of another car entirely..... Sorry -
It does look like theres no clip on that plug Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I always find pushing in first holding the plugs securing clip before pulling on the plug (not the wiring) all in a single motion works best for me.

Bad advice removed Sorry :( -
Isn't number 1 cylinder that suffers with bore wear? Compression test or better still leak down test should reveal worn cylinders. 20+ year old valve stem seals will be rock hard and cracked by now too.

Do you want to sell the spares as a job lot separately? Heater resistor is an easy fix and providing the bonnet pull works I wouldn't mention it. -
Fab calendar pic there?
-
There is another car on the forum with the same wheels, they have a cap missing too, I think you'll struggle to find 4 TBH
-
Do you need all 4?

I used to have stilauto sigmas on our Audi a few years ago, a nice period wheel
-
Topmounts binding so excessive force is needed by the pumps?

With a credit card compartment!
