  1. On Monday I spotted a blue VR6 parked in a side street in Milton Stoke on Trent near to the crematorium, I think it had a private plate on with an N reg suffix?
  2. What to you is a Corrado enthusiast? http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/enthusiast "A person who is very interested in a particular activity or subject" When do you stop being a Corrado driver and become a Corrado enthusiast?
  3. Its underpinning prices for all owners if trade are willing to buy at £10K for the best examples.
  4. I hope it sells in one piece, we've just had a 10K all original car sell so hopefully the breaking of good cars to repair down a heal ones is coming to an end?
  5. I'm glad the sale was a straight forward one. As far as I'm aware its the first £10K ebay auction car in a long time?
  6. If you disconnect the fuel line to the injector rail it will be easy to see if you have a supply to the injectors.
  7. It could just be the car hasn't been motd for the last 10 years - it looks like that anyway!
  8. Perks has a history of working himself into a corner where he doesn't have time to post stuff out (he's busy with work and life stuff), he resolves problems eventually and you'll get your items I'm sure. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?87978-1995-(M-Reg)-Corrado-VR6-Breaking-Updated-with-Pictures/page15
  9. If its for collection then your location would be good too.
  10. https://www.gumtree.com/p/car-replacement-parts/vw-corrado-sale-for-parts-or-repair-for-quick-sale./1177979451 The reg number is not on the MOT system
  11. 4 BBS Monty2s off my own car, 13 years old and in need of a refurb IMO. Ideal for winter wheels as they'll clear 312mm front brakes. Collection from Nantwich near Crewe, 10 mins J16 M6. £100 cash collected. Pics to follow, they've just had a soapy wash only, no wheel cleaner for a couple of years so will clean up a little more. Offered here 1st before I ebay them
  12. Upper chain cover Leads have different fittings on dizzy and coil pack cars. Immob will cut fuel and spark so may need splicing into the new loom? Don't forget you'll have you old items to sell on to recoup some of your costs once you're up and running (inlet mani £50+, dizzy £50+ etc, etc).
  13. But if he turns up and starts haggling the price down like they did to Goldfinger you tell him to do one. There are only a few dealers currently interested in Corrados at this kind of price. Don't take any ****, just relist it in front of the buyer if needs be.
  14. He'll most probably be working with the current high bidder (similar location?)
  15. They do it to find out the reserve.......
  16. Going back to the advisories, my golf estate has been parked and sorned for 16 months, it was thrown in for an mot in april and failed on a few points, advisories on 5 or 6 items including H and R suspension being rusty at 24 months old and 5k miles. Today after fixing the fail points I took the car to another testing station and left the fail cert of the tester to read, the car passed with no advisories, the tester remarked on the previous advisories and laughed....
  17. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corrado-Vr6-Golf-Alloys-cades-eros-16in-5-X-100-And-Pzero-Tyres-X4-/131870972442?hash=item1eb41f5a1a:g:jfIAAOSwzJ5Xfs1k Abdul / Swompys old car?
  18. If its not as described you just walk away, if the reserve is not met the highest bidder doesn't even get to see the car. As for the advisories you can't expect a 20 year old, all original car that's been used in the UK with road salt etc not to have some corrosion on its brake pipes or dampers that aren't leaking a little oil. Unfortunately the UK buyers see low mileage as the be all and end all of car buying..... If a trader buys it and inflates the price its because he can, he offers a warranty, part exchange and finance all of which are seen as advantages / a convenience to some buyers, if you've bought a used car off a forecourt you've been "ripped off" in exactly the same way. For years members here have wanted prices to rise and it looks like that beginning to happen (the asking prices at least), any trader of a used item will always look for increased interest of any item that they may sell on to earn a living just like you and I. Its a desirable car to many, GLWS
  19. I only put them on while I had Toyos fitted to my speedlines - the car was sorn at the time. Mine are older than the car.
  20. Very nice, but it still needs the guides pressing in, reamed and the seats truing. There's a Hungarian guy on FB doing heads for £500ish - Schubert Levente or something similar https://www.facebook.com/schubert.levente?fref=ts He sometimes posts VR6 heads on VR6OC FB page
