  1. I'll keep the same view I had about this several years ago on a similar thread, I don't think the storm models are the holy grail of Corrados, if you had 2 groups parked at opposite ends of a carpark I'd walk to the standard cars first as you don't know what spec they are, then I'd cross the carpark and check out the storms with exactly the same enthusiasm. I own a DBP with leather and a classic green storm, both standard and SORN ATM - too many cars lol
  2. That's a clean car, welcome
  3. Haha, heroin is easier to kick lol I still have your silver car as my desktop :)
  4. Go for it. The mods on this car make it a drivers car, investors don't drive them.
  5. Only if you're buying purely as an investment IMO
  6. There's nothing nasty on the MOT history
  7. He's copied the original advert word for word and if you look at the first post on this thread the ad was edited to remove the info so the sale is premeditated IMO

    First car

I had company vans until I was 25, the first I took home was a mk2 escort van, 1100 and drum brakes all around. Then mk2 facelft transit (plastic grill) - mk1 Astra van, followed by 2 mk2 Astra vans. The first car with my name on the log book was a mk2 cavalier 1600L 5 door in red.
  13. It will be forum member GrahamV red car. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?104407-Practical-Classics-Restoration-Show-23-25-March-2018&p=1195024#post1195024

    Corrado gone

I can’t believe it took so long to sell. You have a wealth of knowledge, don’t be a stranger What gti have you bought?
  15. I've got 15, 16 and 17s for mine but only driven it on Speedlines and toyos lol
  16. I had a brief ride in mr lobitos 24v with koni coil overs and 17s and it rode well, you’d need to look into tyre wall flexibility and a good suspension kit to make for a reasonable ride. I’ve heard of people going to great expense to go from 17s to 16s and not feeling the benefit. Everything would need to work together or it would soon become tiresome imo
  17. If the battery will crank a 6 cylinder engine to the point it will fire up there’s not much wrong with it
  18. If there's a misfire emissions will be affected hence why I asked about the MOT. I'd spend time looking for air or vacuum leaks - servo, breathers, idle circuit, gaskets, damper, various hoses and injector seals etc. Spraying easy start around various joints can sometimes find leaks, other times it just gets to the cylinders too slowly to increase the idle enough to confirm a leak. You could try misting water around the ignition system on a dark evening to see if sparks are jumping to other places than the plugs.
  19. Has it passed an MOT with the lumpy idle?
  20. The originals lift at speed, there's no negatives to this upgrade unless you're a purist

  22. The whole point for me was to fit superior aero wipers. I'm sure the part numbers are in the wiki?
