Its 20 years ago since I did the MK2, isn't there wiring for the console gauges already near the heat exchanger and behind the cubby hole?

I had no problems with my MK2 on eibach and koni suspension. You could glue a nut to the sump and place some heat conductive paste into the thread before screwing in the sender, then you could have it higher up the side of the sump?

You need to fit the earlier upper spring cup, they changed the cup and spring diameter on later cars but uprated springs continue to be made for the early set up

Usually the service book is stamped inside the front cover by the supplying dealer. The reg number may also help if its the original?

If you buy a new TV from a major store they inform the licensing people you've bought a colour TV, if your surname differs from the license payers name they send you a reminder. I know of many people who pay Sky TV £100+ (movies, football, multi-room etc etc) for their services but moan about the license fee!
