  2. On my MK3 I ripped the paper cone off and used mastic to glue the tweeter to the centre of the old speaker (presuming the grills clear the new tweeters in situ?).

    312mm Carriers

Just make a fake profile for hobbies etc
  5. I run mine up to temperature yesterday, I wouldn't describe the throttle as heavy?

    312mm Carriers

    I've got 3 pairs, but don't want to sell just carriers. https://www.facebook.com/groups/428322624165682/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/725668784159423/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/1580234235590145/

    312mm Carriers

There's various TT forums on facebook where breaking is rife (a bit like Corrados 5/6 years ago), 180 and 225s both have 312s, you'll need 6mm thick washers as spacers due to the offset of the discs and 16" wheels minimum (there are apparently some 15s that will just clear).
  8. The pics no longer show, photobucket no longer supports 3rd party forum hosting unless you pay them

What they said /\/\/\/\ Any pics from the day you bought it?
  10. I think its called RTV? Oil resistant silicon, clean the oil pick up while you're there. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Car-Parts/6030/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=rtv+silicone&_sop=15
  11. There's no gasket on the 20V, its sealed with goo. Not too much otherwise it eventually breaks off and blocks the oil pick up.
  12. Why not put some new pics up (the originals have been blocked for third party posting by photobucket) and a price?
  13. I only use it for pics, dreadful to browse with.............
  14. A used lens, indicator and throttle cable would cost less than £100. Non of which are exactly urgent purchases, so biding your time you could pick up bargains?
  15. Does the oil pressure light work on the dash? Ign on it should flash? and go off when running?
  16. I can't comment on G60s frugality, but I have driven back from both Prague and Rome after banger rallys in a 3L BMW and a 2.6 Merc at similar speeds to yourself low 20s were the best we could achieve.
  17. I've got 4 Toyo Proxis on mine, it was a hot day and so many cars in front it wasn't worth overtaking
  18. I get just shy of 30mpg in normal use, I've seen 40 stuck behind long trails of traffic at steady speed. Do a brim to brim check, the dash maybe pessimistic? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?94836-Something-you-don-t-see-every-day-(vr6)
  19. It is possible to enjoy a car with character that needs a bit more driver input than a new car. My DBP VR6 has a clutch release bearing that's failing, it gives a little chirp when pulling away, it will randomly stall every second or third journey. It has no radio as I like the peace and engine note and there's a lot to be said for driving an old car with a cable throttle.
