What time did you roll up to the err rolling road then? You must have been late of bed  Would have been good to see you, car looks lurvley 8)
-
You can go to 500bhp if you want, do you really want a 500bhp fwd car though :confused4: : http://www.schimmelperformance.com/
-
Probably cos as he says he thought it would be faster than it was. Really isnt a quick car the VR6 considering its capacity. I know what he is saying.
-
You were disapointed with the 190bhp so now you want to make it 500bhp, thats a big jump! LOL It is certainly possible, but it would probably be easier and as fun to go for circa 350-400bhp. Check out the forced induction thread on here for details. Matt

Brilliant thanks, will take a look when I get a mo Matt

Got the same problem on the NSF and I have had longer bolts fitted for 6 months and only just started doing it when I had the wheel off last week :confused4: Will give the ABS sensor a check as well tho, ta Not great with wheel parts anyone got a pick of where the ABS sensor is, or is it really obvious  Matt

Bloody hell lucky escape there! -
KADVR6 had some cloth ones. Not sure if he still has them :confused4:
-
Yeah its bright green if that helps  I just went into my local dealer explained what I wanted, told him it was a Golf Mk2 part and he found it easily enough. Think it was about £12

LOL Im expecting big things (in a minimalist type manner) now!

Anyone have the part no's for timing chains and tensioners?
Leonard replied to Leonard's topic in Suppliers Forum
Dont be daft!!! Get it done while its off, i know of a very well respected chap on here who's tensioner was in bits with only just over 70k on the clock and this was down to low miles not high miles. It's a complete no brainer to me if the gear box is coming off  :cuckoo:  I cant even remember writing that? LOL My gearbox has been off and on more times than my underpants the last 6 months! Complete nightmare :( Anyway my chains are all done now. As you say my upper tensioner was down to the rivets on my 84k car. I honestly dont believe there can be any VR's out there now that don't require the chains doing. Matt -
Love seeing this come together so quickly!
-
Love it! Better looking than a TT IMO Hope it has a suitably charasmatic engine to go in it 8)

Hmmm, I would disagree with you there. More like perfectly normal for a dealer to charge you for what you expect to be a full service i.e. checking over everything that needs checking and looking to see when a longer life part was last changed and if need be doing so. But in actual practise charge you an arm and a leg for driving the car into the workshop and changing the oil and filter and leaving you thinking everything has been 'serviced' as it should. Ditto Full VAG history on my car since new and two years ago I looked at the filter and i wouldnt be surprised if it had never ever been changed!
-
Dont really rate the DSG purely from a purity of driving perspective. So VF all the way for me!!! I mean whats the point in having 4wd if you arent going to make the car as powerful as possible
-
Cheers guys, really informative as usual :salute:

I tried this yesterday. I really wanted to remove the whole surround as I wanted to check out if there was any rust. I backed out though thinking I would ask this same question today! I did manage to unblock the drainage hole though just using some cotton buds and cotton buds with the end cut of. Matt
