  1. LOL. Its the 2 cylinders he will be missing, unless he taking up deep sea diving or fits NOS. :) Jay
  2. Asim, When its done (are they ever) I will give you a shout and pop in at some point. gradeAfailure - It was featured in July last year after inters. It is pretty different now so we will see if there is any interest. A second feature a year on would be nice. The only thing thats the same is the colour! :) Jay
  3. An idea stolen from a forum on VW Vortex. Post up pictures of your totally unique Corrado mods. They have to be unique and if they can be proved otherwise by photographic evidence a MOD should remove them.. Would be interesting to get some little nuggets. I am not talking a different set of wheels to everyone else, or a different coloured air filter. I mean things that are "a nice touch", to hopefully spread ideas around. I will kick things off with something I think is unique on mine. Mazda MX5 wing mirrors. Not seen it on another Corrado yet. ***mod edit - pic thumbnailed***stevemac

  5. Okay Nick I will try and take some this weekend. Too busy actually doing stuff to take pictures! :) Jay
  6. Yes Nick48480 it will be there. Finished hopefully. I am working on the interior this weekend, but everything is a long process at the moment! I still need to sort wheels etc.. out ready for E38, but hopefully it will all come together over the next couple of months! Jay

  8. My favourite Corrado ever, by miles. Still going strong too with different (brown) paint and 18" sport design rims. Love it. Jay
  9. Drove the 24v V6 all the way home to my parents place (150 miles) without a single problem. Ran at 90 degrees C the whole way and absolutely flies!! Bit noisy with absolutely no interior trim at all, but that is what I have come up to crack on with. Couple of little niggles, like I am still far from happy with the brakes, and the cruise control didn't want to work :(, but otherwise. All good. Jay
  10. Having just been for a lunchtime blast in mine I tend to agree! :) Even though it has nothing in other than a seat and a steering wheel at the mo! :) Jay
  11. I reckon E38 could be an interesting show!! :) Jay
  12. They will come out easy enough, the rear bushes just press out and the front ones you can just remove the inner metal sleeve and they fall out. I would just buy brand new bushes to be honest. Jay
  13. Can mine be Heavy OEM+ :) No big body mods, lots of non Corrado Engine and interior bits from OEM's including VW, Audi, Porsche, Mazda, Jaguar etc.. Jay
  14. Short answer. NO. They are earlier type where the ARB mounts through a hole rather than on a drop link. The bushes will fit though. Jay
  15. Question is where does OEM+ become heavily modded? Jay
  16. I assume you are joking about the "radiator", I think from memory the car is actually a VR6 Turbo. So although it looks hideous would be faster than pretty much everyones on here. The "radiator" is infact a front mount intercooler for the turbo/s Jay
  17. The MK2 one is the same as a Corrado as I have one on mine. I broke mine and it leaked so and I wanted a nice one so went to the local breakers and pulled one of a MK2. Like the look of the pollen filter though as I should have one of those on my MK4 air-con setup. Jay
  18. This is my own experience of poly bushes. I fitted poly bushes throughout to mine, the fronts are excellent, but when I fitted the rear ones it was a big mistake. Unless all you are doing is track driving stick with the OE rear bushes. The poly ones transmit a lot more vibration and noise through the car and felt no better in terms of handling. I swiftly removed them and put brand new OE ones in but definately do Poly for all the other bushes. Hope that helps. Jay
  19. I was there too, got back yesterday, much more tanned than when I left. Saw Darren but had no idea who else was there! Three of us managed to get right through the security and the woods to the moulsan (sp?) straight at 4am. We stood literally 4 feet from the tarmac with no barrier and the cars going past flat out at just under 200MPH. The Corvettes sounded just awesome, plus I have the whole thing on video for proof! Top Top few days and I am just glad I have the rest of the week off! :)
  20. One thing very few people realise is that the VR6 front cross member and rad support don't fit the earlier shell the same. They do fit but the small support bolts, for when you take the bumper off, have nothing to screw into. So you just have to support the engine if you take the front bumper off. Jay
  21. Cheers mate. Just remember I started off doing exactly what you have done. wheels, suspension, dashboard change, engine mods, then it starts getting more and more serious and before you know it you have a different interior, different engine etc..etc.. Give it time!! :)
  22. Cheers mate. Had a fairly succesful day today. Got a locking actuator I bought from Maplins to operate on the MK4 wiring. So I now have the "lock/unlock" button inside the car working but have yet to get the remote central locking and alarm working fully, so there is still some work to do there. I also managed to get the rain sensing wipers working which will be a nice feature. Got the interior lights and the sunvisor light etc. working. There is still a long list of small things I want to get working using the MK4 loom and controls, things like the sunroof, the wing mirrors, the petrol flap release, the stereo, the cruise control etc.. I have just wired in the speedo sender so the cruise control should now work, but I need to take it for another drive to find out. Happier than I have been recently, but the brakes are still bugging me! Jay
  23. All the best work I have seen over the last year or so seems to be done by Snappy Gaitors. I think I will go to them for my doorcards when I get to that stage. They are probably the only trimmers I have seen where everything looks tight and the stitching is properly straight. Jay
