Wednesday is out as that is NO-Rice, so we don't want to have it on the same night. How about tuesday next week then? Jay

I am sure we could change it to a weekday if everyone agrees. Andy pick a day mate....

Dub style, The Porker seats have the vertical adjustment built into them. The subframes are fixed height as the adjustment is in the seat. For the electrics all you have to do is wire fused 12v to them and they do everything else. PM me if you want some subframes making and I will sort some out for you. FurkiG60, LOL. I had some old wolfsburg mats in there at the time, which just looked wrong so I whipped them out for the photoshoot. I now have plain black ones as it looks much cleaner and more simple. Jay

Mate we will leave you a space so you get pride of place! :) People from anywhere south of London have no excuse to not make it down, especially as we come all the way up to No RIce in Guilford. There should be a good number from Bournemouth alone, let alone the rest of you. There has not been a local meet for a good while, so lets make it a good one. Jay.

The later spec headlight lens swaps straight onto the earlier light, you have to use the later type plastic surround too. The indicators and fogs go straight in, you just have to trim the plastic away a bit behind the cluster but that can be done with a craft knife. Easy job and makes a huge difference. J
-
The later headlights sit about 1/4" further in due to the different lens and surround. They also fit a bit tighter to the wing aswell. I have swapped my earlier lenses and surrounds for later ones. Easy job and makes quite a difference to the front, along with the later indicators and fogs. No there are no crystal clear headlights for the Corrado................yet! :)

Mine sits at 58mm all the time, but I have a MK2 Golf GTi Chin spoiler so it might be different... Never really touches though, only coming off harsh speed bumps. J

Anyone ever done anything different with their Head Units?

I am off on a trackday driving Porkers and Ferraris the weekend after so would not be able to come. At least you can still come next Sunday. Keep it Sunday 8th of August I reckon. :) So Smugglers Haunt Pub off the A31 just outside Ferndown. 1pm Sunday lunchtime.... Should see a good 20 Rados I reckon. I will get on it. Jay

Up around Harrogate/Leeds this weekend and saw a standard dark bllue VR on the A61 running into Leeds. Jay

I would be there. Brando and anyone else you can have a look at my "Audi/Porsche/VW Corrado" any time you like. So pick a date then and get this sorted. How about next Sunday (8th August)?? I can add a couple more to the list of Corrados in and around Bournemouth. Andy Brookes (Silver VR) (Me) James Renshaw (Purple G60 on Porker rims) John Munyard (aka Corozin and Chairman of CCGB, Midnight Blue VR on Kahns) Woody (Blue G60) James20vtBournemouth (Blue 20VT) Daz King (Not on this forum, Blue Storm on BBS RK's) Simon Johnson (Slammed Black 16v) Paul Wills (Slammed Red 16v) J

The a-pillar trim is easy, just remove the screw near the top of the windcreen, then pull down the grab handle and pop off the little plastic covers revealing two screws, undo them and remove the grab handle. The whole A-pillar trim will now pull off as it is just held with trim clips. The b pillar trim comes off by removing the rear cards and undoing the screws behind it and you just have to pull like hell on the adjuster knob, it does come off. Jay

Cheers mate. I like to keep things simple so it doesn't really look too modified, but to those that know they can see a lot of changes. -

Bally, cheers mate. it does actually have a new lower spoiler too but you can't see that! Gareth, It comes with three tabs so you just trim one off for the G60. I think it is a universal grille for all Corrados. J -
There is no "right" way to style a Corrado. People style them the way they like them and sometimes they are popular cars sometimes they are not. Also different people appreciate different aspects, engines, interiors, wheels, suspension etc.. So you can never please everyone, the important thing is to keep the scene alive, if we all drove round in bog standard Corrados, or all styled exactly the same then how dull would that be..... Oh and by the way "It would whip all but 2 other UK corrado's in shows. both the cars are westside vw cars. " I don't think you are looking hard enough mate!! 2p Kerplink! Jay

Welcome to the forum mate. My sister lives in Worcester and I have been up there in the C a few times. Ever seen mine up there?

Exactly, yes you will get more outright "power" if you fit a higher lift cam. All very good on the 1/4 mile, but in day to day driving I know exactly where I would rather have that power. AMD said the best one they ever fitted to a G60 was a 2.0L MK3 GTi 8v Cam, so for a cheap option to try it and see what you think, try one of them. I got one for £10, but never bothered fitting it as I love the low down power. Jay

Being as I haven't added a pic for a while I thought I would add this one that someone took at Castle Coombe on Sunday Makes my car look a funny colour! :) -
Standard cam is best on a G60. Any more lumpy cam will only move the power up the rev range, losing the best part of the G60 enigne, the low down power. J

I ran my old Grey G60 up the 1/4 and got a 15.8. That was a totally standard car and I have no idea what BHP that was producing. I have yet to run my current G60 (200BHP), hopefully get to run it up at Pod before I take the engine out. J

Lee, I have done exactly this to mine. All you do is use the switched 12v feed to power up the solenoid. The solenoid casing will be the earth connection so you can use the earth cable to connect to the bracket or close by somewhere. This will allow you to operate the solenoid using the rear was wipe. It will also however mean that if you don't tap it twice it will "pop" every 3 seconds (like the wiper operating every few seconds). I then used a channel on the alarm to power a relay which in turn fed 12v onto the same wire, popping the solenoid. Hope this helps. Its a easy job and well worth losing the lock on the back for! Jay

Cheers mate, thats a big compliment as there are some v.nice cars on here. I'll ask the GF see what she says! :)

If you mean Porsche Wheels like mine, then you need to hunt the web for porsche classifieds. To be honest though I have never seen another set the same for sale since I got mine. As mentioned, for Porsche stud pattern wheels you will need hub adaptors and different tyres to what might be on them. Porsche Style wheels with either a 4/5 Stud VW fitment can look quite different in style to Porsche stud pattern wheels due to the completely different spacing of the bolt holes. It is more than likely to be the vacuum hose from the ECU to the throttle body. Make sure it is exactly 1m long and is perfect. I had problems with mine as the heat from the exhaust manifold dries it out and it perishes and leaks, not obvious to see but it makes a hell of a difference. I now have one that is Samco silicone boost gauge pipe, no more problems with it perishing. J
