Dave it looks like you might be in luck. I will now (if all goes to plan) be down the weekend after next (10th) just north of Aylesbury doing some work on a Rado, so if you want to pop up for a VAG-COM scan you are welcome to come over for a Corrado mini meet :) Jay

Yeah I remember that last year. You can hear Nick say "160.. OFF THE CLOCK" then he tries to focus on the speedo and you can just see it past the end of the dial. Will capture it off the camera as soon as I get home. Jay -
Won't be down your way for a while I don't think but I am happy to do a scan when I am down your way. Jay

LOL - Well I know they don't like big Number 11's on their tarmac. They charge you £100 to clean it up :) Jay

Well we are back from Worthersee. Got back in this evening about half an hour ago. Tired, but had an awesome time. Pictures and vids will follow shortly, one particular vid of my car hitting an accurate 165MPH on a German Autobahn will also be up on this thread soon :) Jay -
Looks like there are no feet on the passenger side lift legs. That might be the reason it slid off!

Body work restoration - Bare Metal Respray ????
24V Renshaw replied to stooby doo's topic in Exterior
"Bare metal" is both completely unnessecary and actually detrimental. The only reason to do a completely bare metal respray is if you have some major rot (unlikely on a Corrado) or you have serious contamination in the paint for some reason. By removing EVERYTHING from a bodyshell you remove all the factory protection from moisture that can never be replicated in a bodyshop however good it is. Basically a flat down 2 pak primer and respray will give you as good a finish as you will ever need and still maintain the original factory sealing. Jay -
He is getting better at it too, Will get some new piccies of it for you on the Worthersee trip ;) Jay

The TT ashtray is actually suspended above open space. So if you got the downlighter out of it you could mount that in the underside of undertrays on rado dash... Jay
-
If you can get hold of a TT ashtray downlighter that will do the job nicely. I don't think I could ever fit a neon to my car, just out of principle :) Jay

Always useful to have contacts like that. Jay
