  1. 4 Stud is M12x1.5 (fine pitch not normal M12) and 5 Stud use M14x1.5 as stated above. Jay
  2. It was the two wishbone front bolts that were causing the problems (wishbone to subframe) not the subframe to body bolts. But as you say, well worth everyone checking all of the big bolts under the car are up to 130NM. Jay
  3. Got rid of my annoying clunk by tightening the wishbone bolts to the right torque setting. Fitted the shiftweight to my gearbox, makes a huge difference to the shift. Refitted my Reiger grille as it never quite sat right. Successful day. :) Jay
  4. Tell me about it. I have had a grin on my face all evening :) Its the last thing that was not right on the running gear of the car. Now I am 100% happy with it. Jay
  5. Good news mate. Glad to hear its all done. Its another reason to get a 24v, comes with OBDII for free :) Jay
  6. IT'S SORTED!!!!!! I have finally found the source of the clunking on my car. Whether its the same for other people I don't know, but the cause of my clunk was the bolts on the front of the wishbones. I was under the car having a good check over everything and checked them, they seemed tight, but not "really" tight. So checked the Bentley for the torque settings and it was 130NM!! Much higher than I expected. So out with the torque wrench and tightened them right up. NO MORE CLUNK!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! Imran was witness to the differnce it made in the car. Its soooooo smooth now, I am soooo happy!!! :) :) :) :) Jay
  7. Well my mate has a VR box on his V5 engined Rado, so I am guessing they fit a VR. Jay
  8. The biggest problem with the C is the position of the accel pedal, its a bit too close to the bloody great plastic liner thingy Jay
  9. The corrado is a bit easier to do it in than others, but to be honest on the road its pretty much pointless anyway. On the track where you are braking right at the last second then maybe as it will help keep the car straight and not break traction... Jay
  10. I don't plan on selling it, but would never say never. :) Jay
  11. How about a Corrado crossed with a 4motion, make me an offer :)
  12. Just applied for mine. I like free stuff :) Jay
  13. What is the extra seal on the door shut of this american rado all about? Is it in addition to the normal seals? If so does it make any difference to wind noise etc? Looks like it clips in so there must be little holes in the rear 1/4?? Discuss :) Jay
  14. Guildford to Bournemouth to Manchester 380 odd miles. Jay
  15. Cheers mate. Glad you liked it. The wheels are going to get a refurb before the summer as they look a little tired after a winters worth of abuse. I sometimes think its stalled when I am sat in traffic and have to check the rev counter to make sure its still running as I can't hear it :) Jay
  16. I could certainly help. What exactly would you need doing? Jay
  17. BUMP for this post. Read the first post to see what its all about. Jay
  18. The inlet on the turbo will be right where the MC and servo are so very very unlikely that it would fit a RHD car. Jay
  19. Thats my mate simons old VR. Not sure who owns it now, but it has a nice cream leather interior and cream suede bootbuild. Jay
  20. Let a nice and tidy Green VR storm out of a driveway in Bramhall and then saw a white rado going the opposite way on the A34 out of Manchester about 6pm. jay
  21. Furkz - depends how much you won on the bingo :) Shaggsy - how much odd change do you have :) Glad you like my pointless mod. Jay
  22. Well having had a good look at Kevs Charger setup at the weekend next to my car it would appear all the 12v bracketry will fit straight on the 24v, so will the metal intake pipe. The only bit that will be different is the pipe round to the TB, not difficult to fabricate a suitable one. Jay
  23. Seriously impressive work Lee. Absolutely no question yours will be the ultimate VW show car when its back on the scene. Keep it up mate. Jay
