GSF sell 2 different ones- one cheapy one, and also a Valeo one, which is pretty much identical to the VW Valeo one- in fact, I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same! Around £40 and you can get 10% of with CCGB membership.

Tell me bout it Andy, Its like some venting cut into the dash, bit of a bummer but it can be replaced i guess :ignore: Shame- i've got a mint early grey dash you could've had. What makes someone cut a vent into the dash?! :cuckoo:  Rest of the car looks seriously mint though- look forward to seeing it in the metal at some stage. Presuming you'll show this one as well as the VR?

Wow, that's lovely! 8) Wow, you've got...1, 2, er... 3, hmmm, 4... (needs more fingers) 5 Corrados! Nutters! Any engine bay shots? What's that on the left of the centre dash?

Defo gonna get some! 8)

Wow! Looks stunning! :luvlove: Lime prime good? Drew was saying the other day, I should use it on mine with the polisher. Must get some.

Jim's Corrado - ciao to the Fiat! Hello to.. (P64)

Well done, Jim. Glad it went through so easily 8) -
The ones from VW are much better- defo worth spending a little more as they'll last so much longer than the cheapy GSF stuff. VW commercial vehicles also sell uprated hangers that fit too.

Think someone is scoping out my car to nick it....
CazzaVR replied to harryc's topic in General Car Chat
Nasty stuff :( Happened to me when I was living in Canterbury. I took a very convoluted journey home to lose the guy- thought I was being paranoid! Drove down to some garages where there are no houses and parked up. Low and behold, a few seconds later, the same guy appeared around the corner and stopped in the middle of the road. I got out and started to walk towards him, and he reversed out really quickly and sped off. Not a nice experience. Thankfully I kept the car in another garage block. -
Yeh, Drew is the man to speak to. De-oranged his red G60- looks amazing!

Think 1500 is the way to go.

Dave Bestwick- could do better, must try harder :nono: . Just so happens I'm in the middle of writing reports at the mo!

From memory, there were a couple of empty slots on the back at the top of the fusebox. If you can drop the fusebox down a bit, you should be able to see where the other plugs are plugged in- just find an empty slot.

Give Dave and Graham @ DG Autotech a shout ;)

Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!
CazzaVR replied to Chris Langdon's topic in Members Gallery
It's a lovely car, Chris. Had a good look at it while I was at DG last week- made me want a VR with leather again... -
Worst one I've done is the matrix. Sunroof is much easier than I thought it would be + ignition switch is easy- just fiddly. I did mine a few months ago from the top, and used cable ties instead of replacing that bugger of a screw. I would absolutely hate to do things like the ball joints, gearbox, chains, clutch etc- things that you really need a ramp for.
-
Glad you're happy with them, Dave :) They are excellent for the money. Have used vwspares a fair bit now, and have always been impressed.
-
What's fps? Desperately need a driver's side early indicator!
-
The Beru ones are great- these are also worth a look- only £35 for the standard set. I fitted some to the 16v a couple of weeks ago as recommended by DG :)
-
You can't buy them like that- you'll have to spray them or get some Lamin-X ;) The early indicators are obsolete. You're best bet is to find a car being broken, ebay etc. The only new ones left are available from places like ARZ and one or two US suppliers, and they are mega expensive! :cuckoo: Orange ones are much cheaper, but they're a bit too, erm, orange IMHO

Some fantastic pics in here! 8) Couldn't really choose, but here's a nice one from Combe last year.

People usually have a copy of ETKA or use Vagcat.com, but it looks like vagcat isn't working anymore :(
-
Nope, early leather Recaros weren't heated. Prodigalson's G60 has factory fitted Recaros and they're not heated.
-
Got mine the other day- thanks Kip! 8) Was a little disappointed you didn't go for the 'sun lotion' scent option though  Also got my new CCGB membership card- love the new design, so much better than the old one! :)

8) Good work, David! Looks like a good 'un. Really like the 8v engine- nice to drive. Gonna be the daily? How much persuasion did it take?
