Saw 4 today! Aqua Blue VR on the optional BBS multispokes parked near Fulham road in London. Have seen this before. 2 x dark blue Corrados going eastbound on the M4 near Reading between 11 and 12 pm. Silver K***NUT broken down on the hard shoulder west bound on the M4 :( Had nice BBS rims- looked familiar...

Bit surprised at this, Jim- reckon your mate must've got a duff 'un! My sister's Civic (latest shape), which she sold last year, had superb build quality- easily as good as any VW I've been in and almost as good as the S-Line A4 Avant she replaced it with.

Get a hair dryer/heat gun on there.

How about a Nissan 200SX S14A Touring? Rare, fast and reliable if looked after properly. Very easy to tune too. Lots of toys in touring spec. Cheap. Rear wheel drive!

Nicest mod for a C has to be a twin DTM exhaust 8) . :lol: I'm all for reversible mods. Only things I don't like on the standard car are the orange indicators/tails and the ride height. My car has quite a few mods, but looks pretty much standard. OEM+ all the way 8) Things I don't like to see on a Corrado are chrome wheels, smoothed/shaved bodywork etc, each to their own though ;)

I like the bonnet. If the rest was completely black, it would look great IMHO.

Sounds like the circlip under the gaiter could be missing. Try the search to find pics (I'm sure there are some somewhere). The circlip costs pence and takes a couple of mins to fit.

Thermotime switch controls the cold start valve. Having similar probs myself- want to try a known working switch before paying out for a new one to be sure- they're really expensive!

Once flowed, I wouldn't think there would be much in it TBH.

It will go straight on, and yes it will give you more power. It's worth getting it flowed too. Thought you already had a KR cam?

Superpro are supposed to be better than Powerflex. The material is different- just as firm, but much more forgiving (less vibrations etc).

I'd go with stat first too. Prob worth changing the blue temp sensor too- only a tenner from Ford, literally takes a couple of minutes to change. Unplug the sensors in the stat housing. Prise off the wire holder from above them. Just pull the old one out, stuff a rag in the hole, get new one ready to go in (remember a new o-ring), remove rag and quickly put the new sensor in. Top up any lost coolant- shouldn't be much at all if you're quick. Remember to only do this when the engine's cold ;) .

Having driven Dave's, I would totally agree with the above. It would leave my 16v behind quite comfortably and the only real difference between our engines is the bottom end. Very tempted to do this myself...
