  1. Good to catch up earlier :) Glad you like it- the exterior is fantastic! The interior and engine bay would require a little work for concourse. Maybe I can blag some time in the summer hols 8) The Storm is looking minty too 8) Gotta get this 'getting stuck in reverse' sorted first. Will have a good look at it later and try some more adjustment... :? Oh yeh, I'll get some pics up too ;)
  2. Agree with above- prob something to do with an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser
  3. Cheers chaps- looks like I won't have a prob finding these :)
  4. Here and here. There are loads of detailing specialists- just Google it- but Halfords have the basics. Also to dry, you can't really beat a Megs Waffle Weave Just have a good read in here, and use the search ;)
  5. Hello mate, any joy with the spoiler yet?
  6. Ejector seat... you're lucky someone must've pulled the fuse.
  7. Is it worse when cold on start up? Could be the MAF, but my money's on the ISV. Take it off, give it a good soak with carb cleaner. With a flat head screwdriver carefully open the springloaded mech inside to make sure it's not sticking. Check all the ISV pipework to make sure it's connected properly and that the sponge from the damper pot (black plastic box connected to ISV) has not been sucked into one of the pipes. The pipe which connects from the ISV to the back of the throttle body intake hose can often be a little loose and just need pressing back in. Check the ISV wiring for nicks etc. Throttle body is dead easy to clean. Just take off the intake hose and give a good spray with carb cleaner. Make sure you open the butterfly and clean around the edges etc. Cotton buds are handy for the more awkward bits.
  8. He he! Get used to it! Don't use a sponge though- use a microfibre/lambswool mit  Check out the car care section on here for some excellent advice- makes a helluva difference ;)
  9. The voice of experience?
  10. Yep, Will's maps are superb 8) About half the price of Revo too... Looks great, Karl :) Gonna get vRS bumpers & tailgate spoiler? Would look fantastic- especially as it's a non-vRS colour. You could prob get them quite cheap from a scrapper- think they're pretty cheap from Skoda new.
  11. That is simply stunning! 8) Fantastic work there- blackberry is such a nice colour!
  12. Just go and drive a few VR6s. Only way you'll be able to make your mind up. G60s are holding their value better at the mo, but as you say, there are some decent looking VR6s at bargain prices around at the mo. Bear in mind, you'll get the later revisions in the VR6 + that sound. G60 is great though- as you well know. Personally, I'd take the VR every time, but that's just me.
  13. Reckon you'd be close with the KR cam, gas flowed head, decat/manifold etc + remap. Not cheap though! You should see 160 bhp +
  14. Well worth the effort 8) Looks even more stunning than usual. Did you use two buckets? Are we going in the Storm on Tuesday? :norty:
  15. Hope you can get this sorted, matey!
  16. Sounds like a plan :D See you on the 20th :D
  17. Looks like they're both coming along a treat :) You'll love the RARB, mate! The vRS is a different car since fitting one 8) Would be interested to hear how it affects a VR6- hopefully get rid of the pesky understeer
  18. Just a swap for your existing lights if they're in good nick? I had some lined up to swap for my smoked tinted ones and they're apparently damaged and the seller decided against parting with them.. I just want some OE untinted rear lights! :) It's a deal, mate (providing we're both happy with them) :D Swap at National Day? Guess I have to spray my bulbs green then? Don't expect you can buy them green
  19. Cheers, Stu 8) You coming to CCGB National Day? Unfortunately not mate. No shows for me this year, the wedding is taking ALL our money. Next year I'll be all over it! :D That's a shame :( I remember very well about wedding-skintness. Next it will be kid-skintness for you! It's a downward spiral  The kids are totally worth it- not sure the wedding is though  Seriously though, our wedding was the best day of my life- brilliant :D All the best with it...
  20. Cheers, Ian. I'll get one ordered asap :)
  21. Cheers mate. Someone told me the rear ones were now obsolete. Will have a look.
