  1. herisites, the rear looks so much better de-wipered! Nice one- think I might have to do this too!
  2. Here ya go :) http://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/dvla_lookup/
  3. Cheers guys :) The lights aren't quite lined up- fitted them quickly  I'm sure they'll line up a little better when I've had a chance to have a proper go at them ;) The lights are made by ARZ Tuning- darker smoke than the FK's, no bling chrome and they're also E coded, whereas the FK's aren't. Better all round IMHO. Some more pics:
  4. Thought it was about time I took some pics! Gave it a quick wash- started to rain before I had ime to wax it :(
  5. Afraid the guy I got it off was the second owner after you :( Bought it from his mate, who must have bought it from you. Nevermind!
  6. That's very, very nice! Would be nice to know where all my previous cars are now... I know where 3 of them are, haven't got a clue about the other 3! Typed my G60 into the free RAC carcheck, and it came back with 9 owners! I was the 4th- sad to see it get passed around so much :(
  7. Hi mate, can't remember if it's actually VAG or not, but it's the proper 'original' style one for the C. Pretty sure they are the same as the ones VAG would supply. They gave me the choice of clear or tint. Fitted perfectly, and only cost £60 on the excess 8) Yeh, really glad Andy bought the 16v- top guy, and I know for sure he'll look after it well. Nothing worse than selling to someone you're not sure will look after the car.
  8. Be very careful undoing the bolts! Mine were totally seized up, so the plastic housing they screw into on the actual rad split when I tried undoing them :( Plenty of WD40 and some heat should do it ;) Had to get a new rad :(
  9. RobMulvey, got the chrome script from someone breaking a C on here a few months ago. You have to be quick! They sell good quality chrome repro's of the front VR6 badge and the C script on http://www.arztuning.de
  10. Well, you've gotta keep your options open, haven't you?! ;)
  11. Got a K & N induction kit at the mo, but want to route it down through the CC hole, behind the bumper to get some nice cold air. Anyone know where I can get some ally tubing with the right dimensions? Thanks :)
  12. Whatever, Kennedy! Absolutely determined to keep this one now. The only thing I'd swap it for is a better spec VR... I was just kidding myself with the 16v, nice as it was!
  13. blue95, yeh, liking the Recaro's, although I would prefer leather... CorradoVR6-n.o.s, yeh, lovely colour ;) Do have some plans: Sort out the induction- want a pipe to route down through the CC hole, so I can use the existing K & N kit with it- any ideas where I can get one? Change the Kahns for some 16's (dunno what though!) New stereo Rieger gear knob Carpet mats Paint calipers black Stainless exhaust/decat Also plan to charge it in a couple of years when I've hopefully saved enough ;)
  14. James, this is looking very impressive! What power are you hoping for when it's all done (LSD etc)?
  15. Hi mate. All of the car except the roof and tailgate were resprayed around a year ago. Loving the Koni's- you don't happen to still have the C-spanners do you? Lupo's are still on too 8) Yeh, the old badges and the orange tails are the things that date the C badly- changed both now 8) 185K! However, it had a full head rebuild a couple of years ago, costing nearly £2K. What was it on when you had it? Yeh, I'll believe you   You can actually see some red underneath. Need to do them asap cos they're hideous! :pukeright: Are you still in a C?
  16. Thanks chaps :) Must clean it and get some new pics up- especially now I've done a couple of bits.
  17. Nice one! Thanks, Boj :) That's two more for the album ;)
  18. After a bit of detective work, I've found my car used to belong to Too Hot on here! Old members' gallery thread Nice to know it was owned by another member :)
  19. Just read the superb Wiki guide on replacing this- think I'll give it a go as a precaution :) Where do I get the following bits from? M8x50x1.25 pitch bolt Replacement NSK bearing part no. 6203-2RS1 (available from BSL for £6.70inc VAT) Where is BSL? Cheers! :)
  20. One of the first things you must, must do is drop it! Late Vr's in particular have a stoooopid ride height
