    Lupo Wipers

Yep sounds about right. £12ish per blade too if i remember correctly. Bad times.
  2. nothing special i wouldnt have thought, bought a pair of complete wishbones from veedubmachine.
  3. seems to do it all the way through second and a bit in third, hill or no hill. stop ragging it is the simple answer i guess. tracking/allignment was done a few months ago. havnt bumped into anything to knock it off and it still runs pretty true (slighty to the left as intended, i believe). will be right fooked off if its the rack.
  4. ah didnt think of that, will check on the weight, think it was there a few weeks ago when i put the steering gaitor back on. tyres havnt covered 1k yet.
  5. 7.5j, on 195 50 15 proxies. any road at all really. properly doing my nut in.
  6. hopefully not, i put new complete new wishbones, complete steering arms and top mounts on in april. changed to coilovers a few months ago and did an inner cv joint. will have a butchers but would have thought 6 months old should still be good. lol nope no kerbs, my wheels are still as intended. had allignment done after my coilovers went on.
  7. really have no idea why this is, used to only just give a little twitch to the left when i shoed it. now it fully goes for it to the left, have to wrestle with the wheel now. mechanically i have changed bugger all since the change happened, only front pads  just cant twig what would make it start doing it more? the golf g60 i had was terrible for it, but had a fair few more ponies than this one. any ideas?
  8. like the way they look, butnot that impressed by the acceleration of a scooby to be fair. so much power lost through the four wheel drive system. an 06 plate sti couldnt keep up with me 0-100mph, admittidly there were four people in his car and only me in mine (minor details lol). needless to say he had a face liked at slapped arse at the next set of lights. as you say hard to find one that hasnt been ragged to death. plus expensive bills when something does go wrong. the evo's have grown on me in recent years, but i imagine its a similar story.
  9. now youve got to be taking the mick. mice and cheese is a myth. its not like they wonder into tesco and buy some red leicester

    MOT Pass

im still waiting for this, nothing said so far though. congrats on the mot. my mates passat b2 gl5 passed yesterday with two advisaries and its been sat for three years
  11. yep, loom is the key. but for how crap the rado headlights are standard i thought i would share :D
  12. the brighter bulbs they sell are buy one get one free at the mo. i got the up to +90% brighter, 90% my arse, but a big improvement over standard bulbs. so i got two h3's and two h4's for £40 instead of £80. they also had a deal on if you spend £50 you get £10 off, so went with that, worth asking if this is on at your local halfrauds too.
  13. same story but if they arent lowering springs, then a spring compressor might save a few swear words. still not the end of the world though.
  14. Id go with some apple on mouse traps, get the stronger ones though. The sweeter the apple the better.
  15. pretty much the same story, one bolt into the subframe and one nut on the topmount. one of the nicer jobs to do. large adjustable spanner is reccomended for the top mount. one of mine was quite siezed.
  16. been quiet on this for a while, how is the datsun? managed to get a video or two yet for those of us with green eyes?
  17. yes they do, then attach to the plastic inner arch. i assume you would need a pair of inner arches too, if the vr never had them.

    brake lights

agreed, its a safety feature. unusual to find a car that doesnt do it.
  19. you do like balls alot dont you toad
  20. what about anti fog spray that people use for bike visors? would that cure the mist problem?
  21. normally hear the disc suffering if the wheel bearing is bad
  22. bugger. suspension could be coming loose, axle itself coming loose. wouldnt have thought bushes would have gone that bad that quick, but you wont know until you have a good butchers underneath in the day light.
  23. buy a complete mk3 golf vr6, so much easier than sourcing parts seperately. then you can swap the axles for widetrack, have the bigger brakes, abs, nick the fuel tank, fuel pump etc. if you read up on mk2 golf conversions it will give you pretty much all the info you need.
  24. if they are still cheap its worth replacing anyway, they seem to break quite often.
