does it have an air flow meter on it? (not a vr man) used to do the same on one of my seat's. when you let off the revs it just dies, instead of holding at idle, but will start instanlty. it cost me about £8 for a new one i think.

didnt get anywhere near that good in my nissan :( impressive stuff. glad she took the time to warm her oil up though :confused4:

Why do they actually come from america out of interest? There are a few uk companies that do the same thing but offer stainless ends as standard. Im sure there are implications from getting them over the pond if a return needs to be made?

Is doing this to a C bad? Now with additional pictures

nah if its on lowering springs theres no need, the spring is effectivly already compressed if you catch my drift. standard springs and you will need a compressor.
-
do you have a pic of what you have done? and what diameter pipe you used?
-
odd, they normally have to go through the insurance companies approved repair centre, so generally whatever quote you find will be quietly ignored. they will come back to you once they have tallied up the costs and you can go from there. chin up chap.

best of luck, sure it will be fine. probably checking it has the correct engine under the bonnet

Stopped by police for being too low....

i always get out as soon as i stop. they seem to always ask you to sit in the back of the car now anyway, so might as well get it out the way. plus i wouldnt want them finding my 9mm and stash of drugs would i  -
still think you have nothing to worry about, im ready to be spat at, but its no secret vw are overpriced.
-
you can get poly top mounts as far as im aware. never bothered with them though so cant comment on an improvements/dissadvantages. if your car is on lowering springs you can get away with leaving the strut bolted to the hub and not use a spring compressor, just use your weight to pull it down and you can change them like that. you will need a 7mm brake caliper allen key, a 22mm socket with two flats ground into it so you can grab it with an adjustable spanner and away you go.

always is, they wanted £1750 to spray two wings a bonnet and a couple of patches on the roof from me :(

Fifth gear did a test on incompatability (hard points being at different heights) the car that was lower got mullered. The higher car effectivly drove over it.
-
can only really see ride height being the regulated one, as garages would prob support this one after getting pretty pissed off with low cars. ive had to drive my car on to ramps for the tester before because they wouldnt be responsible for any damage. but still a set of coilovers can sort that out if needs be.
-
nothing to worry about then in my opinion, apart from sourcing parts......
-
no you cant insist it sadly. all he will do is have a good poke round make a note of the work required, if its repairable he will tell you, possibly will tell you on the spot if its beyond econimcal repair. if not you wait for a phone call and then go from there. you need to be making sure he pays attention to the overall condition of the car as this affects the pay out and therefore how likely it will be classed as beyond economical repair. good luck.

At least were getting somewhere now, good job.

Funniest mis label i had was at work when i went in for overtime. "what are you doing over time for? You drive a lambo" Muppet.

yay somebody has eat the correct amount of ham today. the lighter and key thing is a clever one. i pee'd on the passenger lock of the mk2 to get in it once
-
must build garages better where you are  plus its a right pain in the ass trying to squeeze out the door when you put it in the garage :( doors are pretty fookin big on the old rados. i assume the answer to that is build a bigger garage.
-
sadly we are, havnt got the old london smog out in the green parts of leicester, so we suffer a bit more. how would a garage help unless i insulated the fook out of it, i do have a garage btw.
-
got caught out this morning by the frost and had to use my bank card as a scraper, doh! as this forum is full of nice people that eat ham, i was wondering what other people would reccomend - non scratch etc. any other random bits and bobs people find useful for winter driving too? anti mist spray ect (if such a thing exists?) i keep a bog roll in the glove box just incase

Double check your bonnet is closed properly, mine goes off if its not.
