If I can manage to find the original one which is stashed away at my old mans house somewhere then I have no problem with that. But I'd rather sell something complete rather than missing a bit. Will try and get over at the weekend. Cheers jim

It's a gwerks one chap. Was made for 68mm and stage 4 if that helps at all. Jim

Afraid I don't have that. Sorry chap

Believe them to be m6, 10mm spanner to undo them.

I'd love to retire! Only 43 years to go assuming they don't put the age up again. Think I'll be in a wooden box before then though

Pumps more fuel in as there isn't a signal to judge what should be there, people tend to do it when they start getting more power out the block to avoid leaning out at the top end. Wouldn't be concerned unless you're having running issues.

X2 tigerfish. Mine did the same got it working after fiddling with ports (put mine on com2) started an auto scan, went the first two scan locations and then crashed. Then when you try and reopen it crashes straight away and then says look for solution online. Mines on windows 7 too, bag of s*it

says coming soon, but doesnt seem to be  any idea when this will happen? id like to stick my bora on. cheers jim

fair game, good luck in your search.

I'd suggest trying for an rsr instead and some silicone hose to stop future leaks.

Yep I found it chap, post office was closed when I got there though :( not that heavy though so shouldn't be too bad, will try again on Monday. They are brand new chap, I got 20 and only used 8. Just need to dig them out, I stashed them in his garage along with half a corrado in spare parts :) need to look through it as his house is up for sale now.
-
Sound. Ah never did dig out those studs for you. Will have a butchers next time I'm over the old mans. Get it on mate, sounds awesome :) ---------- Post added at 8:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:46 PM ---------- Doh just spotted your pm! Think you had one of the pulleys and the tensioner off that one already do pretty sure I'll have it still. Will try and get a price on posting tomorrow if not Monday.

CTN is a straight swap, not 100% certain on the others but I believe they are too, it will be in the gearbox thread to confirm though
-
Can't see the numbers on the pics, I'm on my phone. Think I have a set of charger brackets in my garage somewhere. If you send me a pic of it I'll have a butchers and it's yours if you pay postage. Did you get the 4 branch and exhaust on? Jim
-
CTN is the diesel box most prefer by my memory, longer gears and a higher top end. Suits the power delivery of a g60 nicely. Tend to kill them off if you go for a long rag down a motorway though.

Well spoke to an auto box specialist today and he was quick to shoot down both my suggestions of input shaft or clutch pack. He said if its an 01j gearbox which he believes it to be, then it's the digital input causing the problem. I assume this to mean the gearbox ecu is the cause?? Anyone kind enough to confirm what the box code is? OE52 XVN. Hopefully getting somewhere :D
-
Yep, overflow while it's running and someone shifts through the gears is the way to tell supposedly. They take between 5.5 and 7.5 litres according to Audi forums. Audi say it doesn't need changing at all and will last for the life of the engine!! My arse
-
Indeed no dipstick. Will be up in the air for a good clean out and filter/seal/ATF change when some one buys my bora so I get my garage back. Vagcommed it today. No faults on auto box :$ Engine - 19463 camshaft position sensor g40, no signal... Unplugged maybe?? Address 08 auto hvac - note excessive com errors. Central locks 01374 - alarm triggered by term 15 01370 - alarm triggered by interior monitoring 01369 - alarm triggered by hood switch 01368 - alarm triggered by luggage compartment switch. Interior monitor 01349 - alarm via theft warning system front 01350 - alarm via theft warning system rear. Havnt cleared them yet to see what returns but that's the lot. Nothing to give clues to the box sadly. Any help much appreciated

will certainly do that. just need to wait for my odb2 lead to turn up, cant find my old one after a house move :( thank you.

well after some more reading it seems it might not be such an easy fix. many many people have had this problem and the consensus is that it only gets a hell of a lot worse. althought nobody can actually seem to tell you what the problem is, people are paying for a full rebuild. not something im keen to do! ive emailed audi headquaters to badger them for some answers but doubt ill get anywhere. will get it hooked up on vagcom next week to see if it can spot anything. cheers for replies

Bad times! Hopefully I'll get to the bottom of it quicker that way

Hoping for some help as I'm not clued up on auto gearboxes. Audi a6 tdi sport with tiptronic box. Pretty confused by it, when you put it in drive and go to pull off the revs drop there's a small clunk and then it pulls off as normal, does this both cold and hot. Goes up and down the gears as it should and drives perfect other than this. Using the sequential it does exactly as it should. I've read up on what I can find, most people assume it to be low ATF. But some say it's a solenoid. And there's always the old electrical gremlins as a poss. Anybody have any ideas? I'd rather catch the problem early rather than suffer later. Like i say I'm a novice at best on autos Cheers jim
