It does indeed do mainly short trips, bit gets up to temp each time. Hes about 7 miles from where he works. Its a w reg mk4 golf, 115 bhp, not sure of engine code. Never did it before oil and filter change. Indeed 5w 40 used. Helped a mate do an oil and filter change on his 1.9 tdi, i say helped, more did it for him. But 2 weeks down the line hes got a little bit of what looks like a vaseline and oil mix around the filler cap. Not knowing an awful lot about deisels is this normal or a cause for concern?

Ive got seats, rear has hump. Also black dash in vgc, but its early so has the early controls. They can be swapped over as far as i know though. Cars 5 mins from junction 21a

Got weitec coilovers, need spring plates replacing to free them up again though.

Its the way the charger is. Its a screw charger so produces more boost as it spins faster, this is the reason we also fit smaller pulleys to them. Should still pick up well on half throttle though. What gearbox do you run?

Anybody got any experience of them? Looking towards a new project car and ive always fancied one. Not sure its the right base for making a quick car though. Handling being the main concern. Im looking for a fair bit more power out of it though, will be looking at 4wd to help with handling and odds on a 20vt with a k04 on it. You can do it yourself, kits on ebay were around 180-200 last time i saw them.

You should indeed follow the bentley manual for the bleeding order. Try the extra bleeding with ignition on as mentioned. Back to the drawing board if not, mine was master cylinder in the end.

Pre 92 here you can get away with pretty much anything, mine was decatted, nearly straight through exhaust and no lambda so running rich. The whistle is indeed associated with the charger ;) The hole means somebody has desnorkled your airbox. First thing i do when i get a g60. Allows more airflow and makes a bit of a roar. Some people obviously dont like it. If you get rid of the co pot then most people put a cold air feed to where it used to sit too.

Indeed tb, throttle body. Think its 3.2mm diameter hose, ive got some in my garage if you need some, vw was something daft like £125 a metre! Shouldnt get lag as such from a supercharger, thats where they had an advantage ovet turbos before computers took over everything. Sit in second gear at 3k for 15 seconds and then floor it, if it doesnt come on boost straight away then there is a problem to be found.
