  1. i thought the pg and 1h (rallye) ran the sam con rods though? rallye came with 1.5 bar map sensor as standard. assumption would be conrods would be ok with it, the block might not.....
  2. depends how it sits really, pic would help a hell of a lot. only need a couple of spots to hold the nut
  3. yeah thats the standard size. how much of easy out is sticking out? enough to weld a nut on?? i recently had to do this on a manifold stud after it snapped, was a piece of cake to do this way.
  4. agreed. check disc for warping as it may have been damged.
  5. hmmm i seem to recall a thread about adapters to go the other way round on edition38. maybe worth a quick search as they might be able to knock them up for you.
  6. oh and live mapping would be the one, missed that.
  7. a while since ive looked at it but i think the map sensor will only read up to a certain number which equates to one bar, and thats as much as it will run. the 1.5 bar has higher numbers and will allow the ecu to adjust settings for the extra boost. search 1.5 bar map sensor g60 on google. think they explain a bit better on there. instructions fo fitting are in german but i can get them translated.
  8. it is true about bleeding boost over 1 bar, there are a few options. isv re-route into boost pipes, i run this - some people for, some against. you can buy a 1.5bar map sensor (bar-tek) will need remap afterwards. rallye ecu came with the 1.5 bar as standard, but good luck finding one.
  9. yeah i know that feeling, gets even better with the manifold to head ones. i seem to think there was 6 on the flexi on mine maybe 8v is different. good luck to your mechanic
  10. fair enough, it is a job to miss if you can. it was great fun for me axle stands is all i used, two extension bars got far enough to grab the nuts.
  11. get some axle stands or for a few quid more hydraulic ones. one of the best tools to purchase in my opinion. much cheaper than using a mechanic
  12. should be ok then, unless your car is on its ar$e, it seems ok
  13. my manifold is solid, get quite alot of movement from the engine so i fitted solid front mount to compensate.
  14. no chap im not :hitler: we use german machines at work so we have a few fritz's at work and a good few visits a year from the supplier. im sure they hate the translating i make them do but they havnt told me to f off yet. generally all ive learned to remember is abusive terms, what more do need at work? if you need anything translating give me a shout.
  15. i think its a connecting link (these lads are right, i looked at g60 for a change) german = koppstange dont hold me to it though!
  16. assuming we mean the same bit, rubber part that goes on the back of the lock side of handle (then to the door) its 357837211 think they are still available

could it be silicone? if so get your other half to put some elbow grease in. have a bash with warm/hot water. if youre still struggling you can have a go with acetone (nail varnish remover is the home version) good for breaking down glues.
  18. prob should ring them to be fair but im lazy.
  19. i like a bit of dish, plus i think they look pretty sweet on a rado
  20. had a search around but cant seem to find an answer should you take the charger belt off and plug the oil feed pipe if your putting engine flush out in a g? i cant see it doing any major harm to flush the charger out, but concerned about starving it of oil/lubrication. only about 2 litres go in to flush the system.
  21. yeah it helps you reset where the gears are selected, which it sounds like your going to need to do if you want to alter the left/right movement.
