  1. there both utter crap and i would suggest you dont waste your money on them. the one with the pipe on the blanking plate will draw air through it when the charger spins up, not good with a poop filter. id imagine this would whistle a bit more than normal. it will provide no power gains, just shorten the life span of your charger
  2. the first one is utterly pointless and will probably damage to the charger due to the poor quallity filter. the second is just a blanking plate and the rest bolts on to isv. as you say boost return delete
  3. well i finally have a day off work but compression test kit has not come yet. i have blanked off the heater matrix as suggested, but still loosing coolant. back screen still misted up today though? i have noticed that there was a hissing noise from the front of the block when i turned it off. only stopped when i wiggled the black sensor around. there is a small amount of crust under this, but cant spot any leaks here. (hopefully) heres a video of the smoke (oil about 50 degrees, around 1500 rpm, seemed to be hunting alot today) nope, doesnt want to work
  4. any links to what you mean?

    Sun roof swop

cant say im any expert on the topic but i believe the motors are different. why swap the whole sunroof? have you not looked at the repair kits?
  6. screen has been misting up more than normal. but car has been sat for a while. err pipes are pretty spongey to be honest. i have only done one 5 mile trip in it since this, after it had warmed up. my friend was following me, he said no smoke out of exhaust. it was running alot healthier though. compression test it is then. forgot to mention, but i dont think its related alternator is dead so only running off battery power. plenty of charge left though.

    big brakes

ive heard the early ibiza cupra 2000-2002? retains the 4 stud, but havnt read into it myself.
  8. nope a little cold but not wet......guess its back in bits next week then :(
  9. Part of the problem is that its cold and you've been using the heater; it is possible that there is coolant loss through there. The exchange unit in our cars tends to be weak in design. Are the carpets wet at all? I would start by taking out the rad, removing all of the coolant, flushing it, replacing the thermostat and temp sensors, check all the hoses, replace the cap on the overflow tank, and refill with deionised water mixed with g12+ (or whatever is current nowadays), in a 25% mixture. The car is old enough to justify a good clean up of its cooling system. I had that kind of loss occuring on my car routinely. The seams on the radiator side tanks allowed seepage. You will find this when you take everything off and examine it. If you have a garage and lots of light, it is worth doing this. And no, I'm not convinced it is a head gasket or crack. good stuff. im really hoping its not. its not down on power at all, another reason im not convinced on head gasket/cracked block. im not 100% sure they are not wet so im gunna have a feel now
  10. i suppose its possible but not noticed any water/damp inside. i shall indeed have a butchers though. cheers

    De-tinting?

best off to see if some one wants a swap for red/clears if you dont want all reds. if not amber leds seem to be the best method to make indicators orange again.
  12. hmmm all you seem to hear about is the belt snapping on these. think you would need to put some miles on the kit before selling them
  13. sadly not, but thats a cracking idea. much easier.
  14. car has been fine and doesnt seem to over heat, but three times now i have put nearly a litre of coolant in. runs fine gets up to temp fine. oil temp stays good. turn off and in about 30 mins a litre of coolant has vanished?? fill up again, same thing. no dripping underneath that i can see, at all leat alone a litre pool. the exhaust is smoking a little white but not smelling sweet. no oil in water or the other way round, so im not convinced its the head gasket. has started running a little rough when cold though. any clues on where the coolant is going? cheers, jim
  15. top tip there re the temp. I always wait tills she's up to the 84 and reckon that's a massive thing..couldn't imagine jumping in and firing up to 5k revs!! 76 is the magic number for me :D
  16. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=88084 worth asking
  17. might be worth looking at an upgarde then. works out cheaper sometimes.
  18. im sure they will check over them for you. jack the back left up and see how much play there is in the wheel. simple test for the barings. if not then caliper is the most likely cause. sometimes just pushig the piston back in and pumping it out will cure the problem though
  19. heat suggests excessive wear. would suspect caliper is siezing/not releasing properly, pull off and check discs/pads. wheel bearing may be on the way out too. anything to do with your rear end bump?
  20. i took mine out today. door handle broke on drivers side, small puff of smoke from the indicator stalk and altenator smoking. bad times :( did nothing but wheel spin either. wet roads in leicester
  21. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=87273&p=1009131&hilit=reply+by+pm#p1009131 there was a chap on this thread that did the same, worth an ask
  22. old data though, id imagine there is less than that now. scrappage crap wont of helped matters
