Happy we got it sorted. You just need to sort that wiring one day. Turned out to be a faulty aftermarket immobilizer. Ollie maybe it got damaged with the flooding you had since the immo box is near the floor

What vr is it? Is it coil pack or dizzy? Start by checking spark plugs wires.

It sounds your isv has gone. The popping sound was probably a back fire. When you plug vcds in go into engine and then output test. Press next till you get the iddle stabilization valve and the check it to see if its clicking.

How tight did you do it? I allways tight it more then volkswagen recomend so we dont have those problems

You shure its the load reduction relay? It just might be the fuse relay box -

I would first check ignition timming... It might be a bit to advanced. Then I would look for over fuelling or leaking injector

No thats it... Dont need to worry about it.all normal.. As long as it stays near the 1.000, up or down 0.100. The values will change a little bit with changes (different fuels, temperatures).

This vr6 right? Same thing happened to mine a few years back... Cant remember what it was really... But air flow meter keeps comming to my head

For the offset handbrake you could use a mk4 handbrake... What about the heater box? What are you using?
