  1. Just do one... Clean it proper and inspect... I did on mine and it turned out some one beffore sprayed the car without removing the strips, doesnt look good
  2. I recommend none of the above.... Mt90 or castrol smx.... If you fancy a trip down to london ill do you a gear oil change with smx for £30. It takes about 3 liters
  3. Same here... Apart from the b-roads
  4. Well im not shure if its the same noise as mine... But what I can confirm is i have lived with it for over 5 years now and using the car every day... I know it doesnt help but ive done everything on it apart from new valves and cylinder rebore... Ho... And crankshaft and conrods thats it. And still noise is there. Makes you think what ot could be?
  5. It doesnt matter if the pump works or not. You would still have good working brakes all around. Bleeding brakes with the brake pedal is a big no no, but anyway. Where are you located? Maybe some one near you with vagcom to check for errors. I think you got to different problems, one of the rear brakes and the other with a fault with the abs system that makes the light go on
  6. How did you bleed the brakes? Did you use a pressure bleeder? When replacing abs units it can be a pain to bleed.
  7. Is there oil pressure from the abs pump for the rear brakes? If you dont have pressure on the rear calipers but have pressure in the pump I would say the rear brake bias valve is gone
  8. I recomend a cylinder leakage test instead of a compression check... Doubt very much it will be piston rings
  9. Every engine new or old will let some compressed air escape trough the piston rings or steam seals. So in short yes, a forced induction engine might cause more blow trough the breather, but this would only happen under boost situations. During idle it would be the same as a n.a engine.(at least on a g60 due to the boost bypass on the throttle body). How many miles is on yours? Have you done steam seals in the past?
  10. There will always be a bit of air coming from there, its normal due to the pressure in the crankcase. Youre better off doing a cylinder leakage test
  11. I had the same proplem. Did the same, now one key for all :)
  12. Must be nice... Get the bentley manual... A bit expensive but well worth... 1000+ pages
  13. Lol do you see now why I call this alarms/immobilisers a virus for cars.... They get every where
  14. The first runs were allways a bit like that... Maybe many people like me were looking at the mpg readings on the trip there
  15. Hey did you manage to get it on the rollers again?
  16. Wow 222lbft... That must be a nice g60 to drive
  17. yes very nice day... and nice cars.. post your plots here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?59704-27-Nov.-2011-RR-Day-Plots thanks Jim
  18. Great day... great cars. Show us your plots and summary Here`s mine
  19. Alternator might be shot... What voltage you get at the battery with the car running?
  20. Come on... Dont give up. Cant you bypass the thermoswicth and run a fan switch to the interior?
  21. Only if there is any play on them. If no play and still have some grease on the joint then its all good. Usually the rod ends go, the rod itself lasts
