Like RW1 says.... Its a factory controll item. Im not 100% shure but you will not be able to get those. That a4 paper the vw museum gives you is about all the info they have at factory

There is a service from german vw that it gives you all the imformation they have at the factory, it was especially design for older cars.... You do have to pay and there is a very long waiting period.... But.... Ive been looking for it every where and cant find it... Cant really remember the name for it.... Maybe someone knows what im talking about?

Im in a bit different situation but, when I came to this country (8 years ago) ive left my two g60 in a garage. One is complete in parts, the other one is all good. Every year when I go there on holiday it starts straight away no problems, of corse the tyres are no good anymore, but when I do go back for real it will need a major service and a few other bits. There are many ways how to store a car but if youre going to store it for a few years then the major worry is to be in a good garage. Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk

Good one. Spot on -
Happy birthday... Wish you many years of life and good ownership ;)
-
Wow... Thanks alot RW1... Ill look for that wiki... Once again... Thanks :)

On newer cars you do need to adapt the throttle body with basic settings but thats for drive by wire throttle. Ive never managed to get basic settings to work on the corrado, thats why I would like to hear a bit more from RW1
-
RW1 would you please explain how to do that? I allways thought basic settings didnt work on the corrado?
-
Have you thought about using a mk4 golf v6 gearbox? Lots of good feedback on people that used it on vr6.
-
For your engine faults ive got no suggestion others then the ones you said... Now for the abs having to many comms errors thats down to the cheap usb ebay cable.... You can try and reduce the bit rate on windows device manager and it should work. Maybe some one can post on how to do it
-
Have you had it connected on vagcom? If not you should do that, or else you will be changing parts after parts.

Why every one that sells a corrado goes and buy a bmw?!?!?!? I really cant see anything good on those cars. I wish I had a storm. Anyway different tastes. -
Nice. Easy repair and cheap
-
Maybe some one else can have a look at theirs and tell you the part number. Or else take it to those guys you mentioned (alternator bench tested) maybe they know where to get them. About 8 years ago I worked in a garage and never replaced whole alternators or starter motors, always repair them. We had this catalog with blueprints of all the regulators and it was easy to find the correct one.

Ebay.... It took me 2 buys though. Search for alternator brush or alternator rectifier... Found one that looks the same... It says its for mercedes but it looks the same... Shame the brushes you got there are not the original... It would be easier with original part numbers.

http://www.gasgoo.com/auto-products/alternator-starter-340/1335396.html It should be easy to find one in the uk
-
Lol. There you go... Now take back what you said about your car "stupid car"
-
I had the same exact problem on my g60... Changed brushes all done
-
Let us know how they are ( a picture would be great)
-
On the g60 is very easy to check the brushes... On the back of the alternator where the wires go there is two philips screws just take them out (might be easier said then done) and the brushes should come out... Not shure how long they should be but new ones are around 2cm long
-
Before changin the alternator you should look at the alternator brushes.... Maybe thats all you need and alot less money (about £20)
-
Looks very very good.... Love the white and the black roof.
