  1. Spoted a red vr6 (RKR) next to my work in colnbrook, poyle... Going in for a full respray. Nice one
  2. ???? The fans push fresh air trough the radiator into the engine not the other way around... For the poster.... If you manage to fit the fans on the outside then maybe wire them around as well so that it pulls fresh air into the radiator
  3. Here you go... wiki.the-corrado.net/vr6_ecu_reset_procedure.html
  4. For the TB adaptation follow rw1 wiki page for the full ecu reset......

Thats great you found it.... Get a crank bolt from a mk1 golf dx engine
  6. Take the alternator and power steering belts out.... Start the car... If its still there then let us know... If the sound stops then: alternator bearings, roller bearing or ps pump. Ps: when was your timming belt done?
  7. ????? Is this a corrado? Or did you mean 1st gear?

On the g60 theres a oil pressure switch that can cause it not to start, make shure there all connected on top of the oil filter....but if you say it tryes to start....
  9. Ok... Check voltage at the coils. The module that connects to the spark plugs. 1977 nice...... Must be a nice sound when you get it started
  10. Can see it doesnt have starter motor... Lol... Its painfull, and two cylinders... Have you checked for spark on the plugs? If theres nothing check live and earth on the coils while while cranking (if the battery is dead)... And dont forget theres a engine kill switch aswell....

  12. Yes tl2 is for the rear light... So its a two possition ignition, one for starting and the other for parking light. How old is it?
  13. On old bikes there was a ignition possition for parking ligths only... Ussually bikes ignitions are off or on only... If you can get a better high res picture I can help
  14. I think you need to take the sunroof panel out
  15. No problem... Ill let you know tommorow. The adjustment ive only done on the shifter (side way adjustment) like I said.... Instructions are very clear... Any way I know corrado inside out and im a mechanic... But maybe if you can get a better picture of the adjustment on the gear box might help some people out (the last pic on the instructions)
  16. Thanks Dave... Recieved mine today, very nice packed and easy to understand instructions... The unit itself looks sweeeet... Proper nice weld aswell. Fitted it in about 20 minutes with some cigarette brakes and at night with just the interior light and the phone light, really easy. Didnt test drive it yet but it does feel a lot better... Owned my car for 6 years, so I felt the difference straight away... Old unit back in the box ready for post tommorow. THANKS DAVE
  17. Wow thats great im in. pm me payment details
  18. Today when coming from work I noticed my passenger window wasnt working!!! I could hear the relays clicking about but nothing. Later I went again in to the car to investigate...... Check electric mirrors.... GOOD Check sunroof... NOT GOOD Ive pushed the button to tilt it open but nothing, then I pulled it to close and it moved... Tryed again and sunroof back to normal.... Should I try the window again?? And so I did and everything back to normal. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Im good with electrics but this one I just cant explain. Anyone have any thoughts?
  19. Thats great... Will give it a go. We ussualy polish head lights but only the plastic ones
  20. Wetsand on the inside or outside? Polish with what? Were talking glass?
  21. Ok thats good... Yesb use the green stuff its not expensive from a vw dealer
  22. Put the front end on stands, inside the car loose the steering column from the rack. On the bonnet loose both of the rear engine and gearbox mounts (13mm)... Go under the car, put the jack on the sump, put a block of wood in beetwen. Lift the engine just a little bit. Loose the power steering pipes (2 pipes) and let the fluid drain... While its draining remove the front wheels and loose the track rod ends on both sides( ussualy 16mm or 17mm) beffore removing the nuts its a good idea to wire brush the threads and put some wd40. Once the nuts are off put the back only slight hand tight... Now bring the hammer and hit the hub where the rod goes in... After a few good hits it should pop off. Once thats done loose the steering rack ussualy 4 13mm bolts, and then loose the subframe dependa what engine you have but ussualy theres 6bolts 4 big and 2 smaller 13mm at the back... By now the subframe should have dropped enought to remove the steering rack from the driver side, if not then you might have to loose the anti roll bar drop links. I thinks that covers the most basics of it... Hope it helps
  23. What second hand or recon?!?!?
