Whats the difference between LH & RH Drive Coolant hose set?
floppyman replied to STU175's topic in Engine Bay
Yes that could explain it... Especially g60. Some one here will be 100% shure if it fits or not -

On a g60 right? Im shure the only difference would be the ones that go to the heater matrix but I might be rong -
Ok.... Is it the same problem as before? Have you erased the faults after replacing the bits? If so have you checked after running? If everything checks out fine and the only fault code you get after driving is something like lambda regulation, then I would clean the isv just to make shure and the a full ecu reset to make all the lambda values adapt.. Thats most likely your problem

MK5 Golf 1.6FSi rev limiting, cutting out. Please help
floppyman replied to Rpmayne's topic in Engine Bay
It might be a blf engine... You say there was some corrosion on the old ecu... Did they replace any pins on the plug? Cleaned them? All of them faults ,excluding the fan module fault, are connected straight into the ecu... Example the accelarator possition sender (thats the trothle pedal) connects straight into the ecu, theres no extra live feed or ground.... So everything is pointing to the ecu. If the ecu HAS been replaced, then maybe the connector is no good.... Or.... (I doubt) you need all of those sensors. The only faults I think are sepparate from the ecu problem will be the coolant sensor and the fan module.... And maybe the brake booster (allmost all mk5 golfs 1.6 have that problem) -

Hum... Depends was the vr6 the two small plugs or a one big plug... If it was the big 16 pin plug then yes.... The same has the golf 5. Under the steering wheel near the pedals. -
It will drive but very badlly

When it goes down, you cant bring it up with the drivers switch right? Have you tryed the passenger switch? Might be one of the switches thats no good, and the alarm clossure works due to it being on a sepparate feed. That would explain why the switch doesnt work for a while.

Going back to my home country... Been thinking, a g60 is better there then the vr6, I think theres only two there, and I cant import the car becouse it will be stupid money. So a g60 will be better since I have two more there... This is just a feeler thread, im still not shure what to do so... If anyone would consider it let me know. Thanks

For the fans it will probably be the whole fan assenmbly. Has for the rest, will need to know the fault codes. -
Looks really weird to seat on the car with the belt across the seat? Maybe you get used to it

+1 .... Its all sounding a dodgy garage.

Here is a demonstration......

?!?!?!?!? All automatic gearboxes need regular oil service in vw and audi. The only ones that dont need are the new 7 speed dsg. Older dsg gearboxes have a oil filter aswell especially for servicing. Theres no oil level stick on the vw group... Theyre all checked by a overflow pipe ussualy next to the drain plug.

need wiper linkage maybe with motor? thanks

Has the fans been fixed by replacing the ecu? Whe the fan module misses communication with the engine ecu they will start spinning at full speed -

For the fan problem you will need the whole fan assembly... Has for the engine problem, I would need to plug it in to diagnose... But these engines do have a problem with the high pressure fuel pump that gets worn out on the camshaft.... But like allways, best get it pluged in and let us know the faults -
Every automatic gearbox especialist will recomend a full rebuilt. You need to find the right garage to get it done. Check the fault codes and let us know.
