Yes pics would be great. I have some quite good ones anyway but if these are close to bein unmarked then I'd be interested. Thanks.
-
Are these used or unused? If unused then I'll take a drivers and passenger. If they are used then I'll probably skip it as I'm only looking to change if they are in perfect order.

Chalk to mark the position of cars in an accident? You know what, that's a really good idea before everyone had a cameraphone.

User joined in 2009. First post in 2012. Welcome to the forum :) Another tip is to look for cars being sold with Recaros. Then either buy the car, swap interiors, then sell the car. Or see if you can offer to buy/swap the interior with cash their way. That's how I managed to find mine.

You could try putting it on ebay. I saw a rare Recaro Ham sell on there for about £1,200 a couple of months back.

It's probably because the site needs a script to run and your firewall settings are preventing it being run. Firstly check for any viruses in case the script isn't legit. So do a full scan. Then if everything is ok go into your firewall and try lowering the security settings and see if that works if you haven't tried that (have you changed them recently?)

15" 4 x 100PCD Space Saver & Rear Parcel Shelf Strap
Portent replied to rado-steve's topic in Wanted
If it's any help then veedubmachine sell rear parcel shelf straps. I think they are off a different car but they are very very close to original looking. -
Excited with new 16v but desperately need wheels!
Portent replied to Mike16v's topic in Newbies Hangout
You're in luck. There's a potential group buy of 16" 4 stud speedlines taking place here: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?62625-16-quot-Speedline-4-stud-fitment&p=796305#post796305 -
I've seen OSV's at a show last year and if I were getting a new exhaust that's the one I'd get.

Watch out for the clips that the windscreen seal pop onto as they can break when you remove it. I managed to superglue my clips back together though.

The heater motor is incredibly simple to check. It's literally on the left hand side under the passenger undertray. Once you remove the undertray it should be a white cylinder shaped item that sits below the scuttle. It might be black if it has been replaced. to remove it you just twist it right (I think) after gently prising a tab up behind it.However I doubt it's there. worth a quick check though.Maybe you should pop off the lower screen trim (carefully because the tabs break) and take a look at the bottom of the screen. It might be possible to find the leak there and seal it with some silicone? It's a bit of a bodge but it might be worth a try.

I drove the Corrado to my hospital appointment today. As I get back into the car and start fiddling with the sat nav I realise there is a guy standing by my window so I open it. He them starts along me about the car and how nice they look from all angles. He also asked whether I thought they were good cars to get and whether her should consider one so I quickly ran through the pros and cons. Hopefully I may have persuaded someone to take a look at them. I pointed him in the direction of the forum.

Well said. Agree with that wholeheartedly. I went out for an evening hoon in mine tonight and the damn thing makes me grin from ear to ear every time I step into it. I couldn't really care less what it's worth. Half the fun is improving it bit by bit. A little bit of replacement trim here and there. Seeing it gradually get better and better. You don't get the money back for doing that. But that's not the point. Mine has truly kept me sane in the last year despite huge job pressures and being diagnosed with a serious illness. Even sat in the garage it gives me a little thrill to see it as I open the door or get out of the Golf with the shopping. And one of the best things about owning one is this community. On a few occasions someone has needed help and it has been remarkable how readily people will help; for example when someone has has had an accident and people donate spare parts or on occasions when people give their own time to help someone else out (I recall floppyman driving down to help someone one night in the cold of winter to help fix a non starting car when the owner needed to get somewhere the next day).

At a guess, assuming they were supplied with the car and not added later, I would suggest that the dealer had them recoloured at the buyers request. EDIT: Just realised that painterman's forum name is ironic :D
-
Well you could put up a group buy and take a 50% deposit, refundable if you don't get enough people. Depending on price I would possibly be interested in front VR6 and rear Corrado badges in silver just as spares. And I suspect many would.

Pictures of door triangles with tweeters in them?
Portent replied to Portent's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Thanks guys. Think I will give it a try on the triangles. I looked at the golf today and that's exactly where vw have put the tweeters and I do like the sound in that car. So it seems the right place for them. I just don't want them to look like cheap items stuck on. -
I can't add much advice but sorry to hear if what you're going through and try to stay as positive as you can. I have a couple of friends in similar situations and while it seems a nightmare at the start, time does heal gradually.
-
It depends on how good or bad their condition is. I bought some from VAG last year so they were still available then if you fancy new ones to be sure (makes the car look much smarter). Or Veedubmachine still seem to sell them. But the caps over the hatch hinges are obsolete now and do break if you try to get them off.

Thanks for the pic. I do prefer them there but unfortunately I won't be cutting mine up. -
Pictures of door triangles with tweeters in them?
Portent replied to Portent's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Do you mean in the door pod itself or in the door panel? If in the pod then thanks but pictures not needed as I will be putting audioscapes in there so don't want too cut into them. -

Thanks. How 'obvious' are they? -
I'm trying to decide whether to put components or full range speakers into the front. If I put components in then I'd probably put the tweeters into the door triangles by the mirrors. Any pictures to show how intrusive they look would be appreciated. Thanks.
