  1. Just in the process of replacing the rear axle bushes and suspension and noticed how rotten these tank straps are! Does anybody know a part number for them and how much they are likely to cost.. Thanks in advance :)
  2. Have you got an air leak, could be the expansion bottle cap is knackered mine was and it caused no end of problems water spewing everywhere heater not working etc! Even the dealers thought it was the head gasket So i tried a cap, only a couple of quid and it worked, Cheapest option first..
  3. Probably! shouldnt be too expensive! What makes you think its that
  4. Heater bypass valve mate, stops the heater from exploding and burning your legs! Maybe blocked...
  5. Where in Zante are you, I go to Zante alot Kalamaki...Do you know the scorpio bar
  6. davidwort could i use the standard bump stops with the koni adjustables and also where is the best place to get the konis from as i have looked and only found a complete kit with springs! and only need the shocks and what setting do you tend to use Thanks again :D
  7. Thanks davidwort for you detailed reply, a good bit of advice there! I want to replace all the bushes and rubbers around the car then the shock absorbers, At the moment its got bilstein shocks with eibach springs and feel they are a bit stiff for my liking so was thinking of standard shocks but retaining the eibach springs suposedly a good combination as the car only gets used in the summer really and like a bit of comfort
  8. Hey all have been preparing the garage for the dreaded axle bushes and have jacked up the car and placed the axle stands and sprayed all the bolts with wd40 but the car doesnt seem high enough, should i take it as high as possible by putting some strong timber blocks underneath the stands, A bit of advise from someone whos done the job would be handy, Are the dealers the best place to get the bushes from and all the nuts and bolts, Also noticed a lot of surface nasty looking rust around the beam itself ! A good clean up and hamerite should do the trick and a little advice would be handy as i am dreading doing the job, but hey felt the same when i did the heater matrix and then felt pleased as punch when it was finished, all part of 17 year old corrado ownership i suppose.Wish me luck!! :D
  9. Thanks iggi, Last time it did this i couldnt get a spark then after a bit of messing about it fired up but definetaly had a poor spark!
  10. A Bit of Help appreciated here guys, My 1.8 16v does not want to start when its hot the engine just turns and turns, Its tucked away in the garage at the moment on sorn but need to get this prob sorted. Apparently the distibuter Hall sender may be causing the problem or maybe just the dizzy its self as ive been told by the RAC when i last had it recovered! Does this sound right and if so can you get the hall sender seperate or do you need the whole dizzy, And has anyone Got one for sale.. Thanks in advance ..
  11. Somat about White Corrados I Love 8)
  12. The Corrado is still gonna live in the garage though out of respect for thee old Gal.. The S3 will just have to get wet....
  13. Just bought My S3 saturday Ebony black with 47000 miles, went all the way to plymouth from north wales to get it, we flew from manchester to plymouth on a little prop job £60, or £100 by train! Cazy ehh, got there 12.30 and drove to a place called Salcombe and stayed the night in a nice hotel and drove home sunday (the best part) im really pleased with it its a nice straight one owner car with full dealer history thats not had any paint. And it really shifts compared to my corrado valver, but the wife still thinks the corrado is the smarte car.. a couple of pics
  14. Its Been a struggle i can tell ya :(
  15. Ive just re taxed the corrado for another 6 months after it being sorn for the last 6 months, should be able to drive it tomorrow after charging the battery over night and refilling with coolant as ive not long done the heater matrix, just bought the coolant from the dealers £13.50 Robbing bstards!! With a bit of luck i will be able to bleed the system ok and should be on the road by afternoon if im not too hungover!! Should be in for a bit of fun if the rain stays off and the heater doesn`t blow up.. Wish me Luck...
  16. Wouldnt mind a blast up these roads myself ben, when were you thinking of going, have to get the c of sorn first though....
  17. Being A New member as you are FATBOY Get some Pics up for everyone to see  :salute: And then i`ll think about fixing your gearchange problem for you :thumb right:
  18. KADVR6 squarepeg round hole  It was tight but it came out with a struggle, probabaly better of taking the dash out but loads on here have done the job with the dash in so thought id have a go..
  19. Ive Just done my matrix and managed it with the dash in place, just undo the nuts in the engine bay and the sneaky ones where the wiper mechanism is and pull the dash slightly away leaving it in, It can be done and at least you dont have all dash loom to put back, I took photos with the didgy camera to remember where everything went and was still left with a few screws left over. Good Luck its a horrible job
  20. Cheers ben, Looks like i will be keeping it a bit longer now. A few mods maybe this year as i was looking at putting £4000 towards the £2500 and getting a nice VR but there so hard to come by now, I was thinking of konis as ive already got eibach springs and boge setup but its a bit of a harsh ride and doing all the bushes and rubbers underneath and the arbs and maybe a cnc head and take it to stealth for the wur mod, ive already got a miltec and a k&N filter so its reasonably responsive now but you never stop wanting do ya...
  21. jedi-knight it was the extra gloss protection and i bought a cheap blackspur cleaner, only £12.99 but it did the job and to be fair it feels quite good quality heres a pic
  22. I was going to sell up and buy a nice VR6, My mate has pestered me all last year to buy it for£2500 which i know is not bad money for a 91 valver but she has full leather and 68000 miles and ive spent a fair amount on her over the five years ive owned her, she is on sorn at the mo but i think i will hang on for a bit longer yet, Ive looked at 1995 VRs and theyve not been as tidy so what do you do..
  23. Thanks! I noticed that after youve layed on the polish and then change over to the woolen bonnet thingy it leaves a bit of residue on the car so i used a microfibre cloth to finish, pleased though
