My corrado is on sorn at the moment and has been for a couple of months and i have disconected the battery as it tends to run down after only two weeks and sets the alarm off much to the anoyance of the neighbors, Im a bit worried about losing the mileage on the display as i have been told if you leave it without power for a long period it loses its memory, has anyone else had this problem! Any advice please.. Cheers

Thanks for the comments :D Ben16v I have phoned lock stock and they wanted £65 a month to store it uncovered with a £150 deposit a bit pricey me thinks thanks anyway, i will phone a few others tommorow, If i could find somewhere reasonable i would probably store it for 12 months and see how i felt then. Gixxeruk im sure i saw you coming down the A55 last week going towards abergele at a fair rake of notts 8) looking tidy :)
-
My only other option i supose is dry storage, I did look around for this earlier in the year but couldnt find anywhere local (North wales) Does anybody know how much this costs?

Been thinking sadly about letting the corrado go its gonna break my heart but i just can`t justify three cars as ive just bought a mazda crew cab pick up for work and the wifes got a shogun pinin which we use as the main transport so what do you think its worth :( 1991 H plate 18 16v 68000 miles with service history and all mots immaculate condition ive had it for nearly four years and its been washed and polished every week theres not many in this condition at nearly fifteen years old, The body is standard apart from alloys and newer front grill, its had new suspension (Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs lowered 35mm) new toyo proxis. Miltek exhaust and K&N filter and goes really well, Please convince me not to sell

Any ideas how to adjust the cables or is it a dealer job as im having problems with selecting 2nd it seems to go straight over to reverse as if theres no gate and sometimes its fine have cleaned all the linkages and greased them and the clutch is fine, This has only happened after coming off holiday last week, I Reluctantly left the corrado at car minder 2 at manchester airport because the wifes shoguns front downpipe went and couldnt get one for three days (Jap crap) and came home to this and the speaker grille missing :x I wiped the floor with them in front of everyone and a guy with a fancy lexus didn`t want too hand his keys over afterwards, I am waiting for them to contact me regarding the Grille, That should be fun as there deleted now...

Thanks for all the comments :D All i need now is a nice leather interior  Anybody got one going spare ! Will have to put a post in the wanted ads i think.
-
Yeah I had it up for sale and decided against it! it only gets used at weekends and sometimes not used for weeks thats why its only got 66000 miles on it , I love this car its my pride and joy but was thinking of selling and trying to find a mint low mileage G60 or VR6 but finding one in this condition would be hard !!

What is your 16v spec & how much power does it produce?
joby replied to corradophil's topic in Engine Bay
1.8 KR Milltek exhaust and K&N just serviced and tuned by my brother who is a mercedes technician :D getting theses cars set up right makes a huge difference, this car really goes well people tend to knock the 16 valvers but if driven hard they perform well, I gave a Civic Type R a shock the other day on the boil between third a fourth i was on him like a ton of bricks he must have thought i was a VR6  I have driven a mates standard G60 and even he said mine felt quicker :D -

Well its that dreaded time again, Renewal notice drops through the door  So ive had some spare time on my hands today and got some quotes for my 1.816v corrado 1991 with a limited mileage of under3000 miles, (only done 750 miles this year) on my driveway with immobiliser and total closure alarm me and the wife to drive and im 37. Quotes ranged between £560.00 down to £260.00, I Still thought they were dear for TPFT after a few hours of shopping around I found a quote for £146.99  From Budget so heres the number / 0800 107 4501. I got this from an insurance tracking system called superquote.com and confused.com they do all the leg work for you :)

Yeah You can also build your own house if you can find the land cheap enough Next year i`m putting a big extension on my house but more importantly a Garage to house the Corrado 8)
