oh and at the current exchange rate its 7.12 for a US gallon in the UK, here its 3.50 for a US gallon. you are double right now, normally for us gas hogs its about 2 dollars per gallon. so its double the normal price for us right now. it would cost 8.57 US dollars for 1 UK gallon, we were at a stage where it was 6.50 for a US gallon in the US, the hurricane that hit Louisianna cause gas prices in Louisianna to go up to 6.50

yes but Im looking for better economy, hence the hydrogen..... octane....C8H18 contains hydrogen, when u burn it u get hydrocarbons, lots of Carbon left over, mixed with oxygen, IE CO2. which means, if you burn more hydrogen, IE H2 gas, you would get more hydrogen coming out the exhaust, at this point your O2 sensor should read rich, the computer would then lean the mixture out to accomidate the hydrogen being added. and you would use less gas. technically speaking you could add a bunch of hydrogen and just cut off your fuel supply. this would make your car run on water, using electrolysis (a lot of VOLTAGE would be needed to make this happen, not so much current but the fluctuations in voltage make this work, you could do it the opposite way, high current and low voltage but this process is less efficient). you would need a titanium exhaust system though so you would rust out anything, or stainless steel works too. this in theory would work.

sorry guys I meant to say hydrogen, Ive been mixing hydrogen and nitrogen up a lot lately.... :? the hindenburg never had a correct answer, the skin on the surface is what most likely caused the problem, not the HYDROGEN inside of it. the hydrogen just added to the problem. the hydrogen was laced with garlic so they would have noticed if it was leaking before anything bad happened. (unless someone shot it down). ANYWAY! hydrogen is still considered dangerous and it is currently being used in diesel trucks, this gives me enough safety factor to put it in my corrado. efficiency will be determined by me I guess. Unless kevhaywire can explain nitromethane and how it does what he claims...

Kev, gas is now 3.50 US dollars a gallon, in your country gas is 4.95 a gallon US dollars. we are inching closer to you guys. =-0. there is a way to make enough nitrogen to supply half the fuel in my car, being thrown out of the electrolyzer at 5 psi, its not being compressed, its going directly into the intake system. at this point its not as volatile as you might think. it is still a flame "enhancer" at this point and not an explosive. oh and for those people who think it requires 30A or more, well thats not entirely true, the current systems available for diesels draw 35A max and produce enough nitrogen to power 45

so I have been doing a lot of reading into hydrogen fuel injection systems for diesel trucks, I will be attempting this conversion as well as completing my long waited AMG supercharger conversion over my summer vacation from college. so far this is what I know, the process is electrolysis, I will be making my own electrolyzer and it will be stored in the rear of my car, it will be approx 8" - 10" diameter (round mounted on rack). it will use 1/16" stainless steel rods in lengths of 18", with a diameter of 1", the setup will be a series setup of rods. being that the car will be producing upwards of 300 horsepower on regular fuel I thought I might as well make up for some gas mileage while im at it by adding a hydrogen injection system to lower emissions, shouldnt take too much extra time being that its a simple process. power will be delivered via the alternator, obviously. If anyone randomly knows I was wondering how much nitrogen gas I would need to have to match the same amount of nitrogen in 1 gallon of gasoline. I figured 24 gallons of N2 gas at 1 atm to get the same amount of nitrogen in 1 gallon of standard fuel (C8H18), (assuming you consume 1 gallon per minute) I did this calculation expecting nitrogen vehicle would get about 2.2 times the efficiency that a standard motor does. I am only going to be doing a fraction of this in the end with my electrolysis. has anyone had any experience with hydrogen fuel injection?

like the title says I need the wiring diagram for the moonroof switch and for the moonroof itself. anyone got one? =-)

when I got my car, I had a bad bearing in the drivers side front wheel, it did affect the steering, THIS SHOULD NOT have been the case, something else was messed up as far as steering goes on the car. so no it should not affect your steering however it might, you would know if you had a bad bearing, the car would squeek and/or howl repeatedly.
-
well it cant adjust the alignment if the bearing is bad, check you axles.

I hate waiting for parts, only 2 things left to go and they take forever to get.......... -
but Im still looking for that oil cooler size... anyone??? oh and get the charger from ebay. getting the stuff CNC'd is what will be the most expensive.
-
http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight= been about a month since anything happened, mostly because of school taking up a lot of time. Im waiting for a new support beam that I ordered to practice fit the mount before anything gets welded. once mount fits then pieces all get welded together and charger is mounted, everything after that it welding/cutting.
-
so for those of you that know Im sticking an AMG supercharger onto my G60 and progress is going well, I need a different size oil cooler and will be selling my 8.5x11" mocal cooler that I currently have, all I need is the cooler itself not the sandwich adapter. who knows the correct size to get so that I may fit it where my intercooler is currently. I also want it to fit into the same plastic housing that the intecooler uses. I will find a way to mount it I just need sizes, I dont have a spare intercooler around and measuring my current one is a little difficult unless everything is removed. thought I'd try here first. thanks guys. oh and I am willing to trade anyone that has a good one that will fit for my giant cooler. its been through 4 oil changes so about 1 year. its a eurosport one, they dont really wear out, ever..... 174 is the average temp in F, same temp as water roughly.

how large do you want and where do you want the hose ends... specifics and I can help you find one in the US, we have a lot of them here.
-
yeah its the same, funny thing its a brand new pump, its probably a refurb though.
-
so I recently removed my AC system from my corrado, and in that time I replaced my steering pump, well I thought I had an air lock in the system but I was mistaken, I just dont have any power steering. all belts are in tact, and spin fine, pump makes no noises. I took off the line coming from the system to check and see if the system was blocked, but I got fluid coming from it and I cant figure this one out, could it be that the new pump was bad? or is this extremely rare? my old one worked but I thought I would replace it to be sure it wasnt going bad, sad thing is the old one is on its way to get refurbished now.

yeah Im trying to find a crashed TT so I cant get all the brakes off it actually.
-
I am looking for G60 vented rear brakes, none of this crappy solid rear brakes junk, I know they dont get as much heat as the front but its still a substantial amount. so if anyone knows who makes VENTED G60 REAR brakes, please let me know.
-
call it a VW neo hhahhahahah yeah the C should stay the C but I dont agree with reverting to previous names such as the scirocco MKIII
-
u sir = thumbs up =-)
-
-.- never cause then you couldnt say that you have a C, you would then have and S.... yeah doesnt work does it
-
its not stable though, they get continuous misfires with that system. Im going to California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo for mechanical/materials engineering in fall and I was reading an excerpt about how it wasnt stable and how Cal poly was going to try to stabilize it by making the tube smaller or something.

yes the pieces i got cut are square to 1/10000th of an inch. the welds will be perfectly square and I have a few support pieces to weld onto the inside of the bracket, I am also looking at making something to hold onto that little top piece with a bold on it, it will bolt to something further back and down I think, preventing forward motion, the thing is rock solid in place and I engineered it to withstand 100m/s^2 forward acceleration and still stay in one place. Im only slightly worried about the left side. because the only support there is the small rod bracket on bottom which is bolted in place then welded to the charger plate. I do need something to prevent lateral motion, its got side supports and weight supports, its just holding them from digging into the radiator thats the problem. -

we got more pics, its gonna look soo nice, and darren change of plans, I have to route intake to the left side of the car, you can see why if you look at these pics. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y207/p ... how do you mean about the throttle body, I thought it was 60 mm or something close to that, O.D. of course, I could port it which wouldnt be that bad... but yes i could get something better for flow there. all Im really worried about on the TB is if the outlet, normally for the boost return can handle the 25 psi, I did some math and it should come out of there at about 60-70mph, which is really fast.... yes I know flow is better and all but currently I am just working on getting the thing finished, and yes I did notice that the 63mm is really hard to get on on the side with the charger, Im removing the AC so I can go under there, I dont use the AC as it is so why keep it there... and if anyone has opinions, black piping or chrome piping? I am not picky and I just dont know which one to choose. speaking of which darren, love the new site.
