Guys I have this immobiliser key fob but the cover has cracked on it and I am keeping it all together with amalgamating tape. Has anyone taken their alarm off and have this spare lying around. I think its off a scorpion immobiliser cant be 100 percent sure. Hope someone will know from the pic. If not i will unravel the amalgamating tape and take a pic of it again .. cheers

Standard Corrado VR6 Backbox. Still in good condition taken off my VR with 98k miles. Welds are still solid with only surface rust. No holes. If anyone is interetsed I can take it to stanford hall for the corrado GB meet. Will add more pic later... £20

For the past two years I see this storm just parked up on the drive just off LLangollen town with the front end all opened up with no change. But today I went past the same car and had to do a double take as it seems work has started on it. The rear end are now on axle stand :)

RIP Chris...Last spoke to Chris at Tatton Park last year...very friendly and knowledgeable guy. -
Are some parts departments deliberately unhelpful?

I would be inclined to go back in there again and give them an ear full. Show them your order that you got down at another dealership that they say that they could not get without even checking the system first. Bit distgusting and poor service that even the manager said the same thing. You even done all the leg work for them with the parts number all they had to do was type it in FFS!!! -
Might be best to double check to make sure both pipes are warm...also when the engine is cold and you have topped up with the correct coolant level does it stay in its correct level ? or does it go down in level if left after a while. Dont know if its worth draining the coolant into a bucket and refilling it again if it has been changed recently as not to waste it.

In the past I have drained the old coolant from the bottom radiator hose. Then topped up from the top radiator elbow first very slowly to avoid too much bubbles and gurgling. Once the radiator is full I put the radiator elbow back and started filling up from the Expansion tank very slowly without too much gurgling and didnt have any air lock problems doing it this method. When running in with the cab off does the top and bottom radiator warm up at all ?

This was the damage to my BM a few weeks back. Not sure what else they mix in with the salts. Radiator was completely peppered. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?79515-Gritter-salt-Damage-to-my-car-radiator&highlight=gritters another thing to watch out for is slabs of ice flying off lorries. I have had a slap of ice came off the top of lorry once onto my windcreen at 70mph luckily it didnt smash through !

££££ Expensive month... - Have had 4 x conti Premiums 2 tyres fitted recently courtesy of Nigel from Lobitos Tyres.Great service..Thanks and a corrado enthusiast...bonus. (much needed as 1 had a nail in it causing slow punture that cant be repaired due to its position and the other 3 looked tired and cracking in places) - Insurance renewed. - MOT passed today at KWIK FIT- Well happy. Lambda reading just made it below limits. - Got back from MOT received Dave16v home made stainless steel bracket, nuts and washers for the BMC and got it fitted in the snow as I couldnt wait. Very Happy with the product. - 6 months Tax in a few days time. Looking forward to a few shows this year in the warmer months...

I got mine from GSF. Just ask specifically for a Valeo branded one. I also got 10 percent off for being CCGB member too when you show your membership card.

Very nice indeed...I wish I had that engine in mine. I have the same but on a 120D engine. They are great to drive...Have you notice the steering wheel blocks the view of certain information on the dash no matter how you set the steering wheel position and you have to strech forward to look at them.

Just wanted to share my bit of a twilight zone moment... Last week I did an oil and filter change on the VR and somehow I managed to pierce the yellow plug piece on the oil collecting can. So thought I will have to buy another one in future as its useless without this piece when storing the old oil. A few days later during my travels about 2 hrs away from home I decided to take an unexpected break from my journey. So parked up for a rest and as I opened my car door to get out for a stretch. Presented in front of me was this black plug in the dirt track. It looked to be a similar size to the yellow plug that I damaged a few days back. So picked it put and placed it in the boot of the car. Only today I remembered about the black plug I had picked up and tested the fit on the oil collecting can. It was a perfect fit. Sweeeeet! Halleluya!!!(shouting from the top of my voice)

I would advice taking lots of pictures of what your doing and where some screw goes as you are doing it as a reminder. Mine dont have air con dont know if it makes a diffent but I managed it without taking the dash out by being very careful. Hardest bit for me was taking the Glovebox out and also loosening the bracket for the relays behind the Glove box. You will also need to drain away all your old coolants and top up at the top radiator elbow first to avoid air locks. This part is prone to cracking.

see post number 22 pic. You can see the brown colured draft excluder. I know I could not find a black coloured one at the time. http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=45108&d=1299442414

The way to stop getting a wet battery jacket is to use a thin piece of draft excluder (the ones with adhesive backing already)along the whole length from top to bottom where the water would run down the wing. I ve done it for both sides and have never had a wet engine bay when it rained. I saw this technique on Chris storm vr.

My understanding you will still need the inline fuse also for the remanufactured group buy one. There was a reason for this. It was discussed in the headlight switch thread before Iam sure.
-
Thanks for the heads up...I ve PM Mr Lobitos to see what he can do on the tyres front as he is not too far from me.
-
This is gonna be an expensive month...I ve got an MOT, insurance, Road tax and possible 4 x new tyres needed.
