  1. It would cause starting problems Rog , as it tells the ecu what position the engine is in .
  2. OOOOh very nice indeedy , stunning car .
  3. Looking very nice , well done for putting in some hard work . There is a lot to be said for the lowered look , they can be a pain to drive when too low .
  4. And then theres Alan Carr ...............
  5. Ah , mate looks fantastic , well done , for persevering with this car . Looking forward to seeing it . By the way it took me around two years to stop fussing over the car after the new paint !!!
  6. Forgot about this i will do it tonight !!!
  7. As far as I'm concerned none of them have anything on this lot , list follows . Gok or gwok what ever his name is . Those two on the advert on TV , when they say "is there anything more to life than being good looking ? " And finally that t&&t from pineapple dance studios who ever that is . All of these need to be shot in site !
  8. It doesn't have to be remapped , that's for better fuel consumption , better Bhp etc . It's something to do with resetting the ecu . Someone will come up with the answer how on how to do this . When the battery goes flat or is disconnected and is connected the ecu can go a bit nuts for a bit resetting itself . I've never reset mine in the past , just put the battery back in and let it sort itself out . Never been a problem .
  9. I would think about testing from the ecu down to the plugs . Then fuel pressure , Mabey a return valve problem with the long delay in firing , also the fuel pressure regulator . Rob
  10. So most of us on here are getting are car fixes , re runs of top gear , wheeler dealers , fat n furious. Vag is watching dinner date ? Lol
  11. Mine was doing this last year Rog . My leads were shot and not connecting properly , I would drive off with kangerooing down the road .
  12. Needs to happen soon Rog , mine will be off the road at the end of August , unless i get tax and chop it in ?.
  13. me and Rob have just met up with a new owner in Paignton . Its in a similar state to what yours was like when you first got it Sean . Hes got a headache already lol , welcome to corrado ownership we said !. He had so many questions , we will be helping him out no doubt about it .
  14. Tidy looking car that Sean , bit more economical than the old Saab too .
  15. Whooa that was close , good job you caught it in time .
  16. By the big round plug , do you mean the lead from the ecu ? . I can't remember if you turn it anti clockwise or clockwise , but it only turns a fraction . It will then release . I would spray electrical contact cleaner on the pins , leave it for a bit wipe it and reconnect .
  17. Well done on your purchase , nice to hear you have plans already . An auto too , getting rare these days .
  18. The link works on my phone , there are a few rear badges on sale on eBay . Better off with oem badge for the car .
  19. No , the pump is your feed to the filter and then to the fuel rail . The sender does exactly that , it measures and sends the signal to the gadge . The sender sits on the side of the pump .
  20. It was my fault mate , I didn't leave the glue long enough to start to set . I did it again , left each one for around 8 minutes . All good now .
  21. Try putting a add in the wanted section . Someone will have one .
  22. Thank you , picked it up today from the post office .
  23. This does look better than the group buy . Worth the dough I think . That said I'm happy with mine . Although it would look better with the foam side showing rather than the shiny side .
