Yep - Halfords usually have Bosch Silvers. Make sure you're sat down though when they tell you the price.. they're always astonishingly expensive. Alternatively could try your luck at your local branch of TPS if you have one around? Might be able to get a good price on a Quantum battery.

I pretty much always use Bosch Silver batteries. Always seem pretty decent :)

Is that not actually a little hole in the floor there in that last picture? :(
-
It's for the best I think. I'd have only stood regretting selling those Speedline's to Sean_Jaymo :)
-
Sweet :)

That's a decent size space to put a car! Wow! Good work mate :)

If it's of any interest Ron, carriers aren't too pricey from VWSpares (£31/each). They have callipers too but obviously they're a bit more pricey :)

Sorry guys will be a no show today :( Feeling a bit under the weather and can't stomach a 3 hour round trip today. Have a good one :)

Check out some episodes of Roadkill on YouTube :) The Dodge Challenger / motorhome engine swap episode was brilliant. -
I'm actually pretty staggered they put out such a flyer!
-
Forwarded this by Tempest earlier... always nice to see them on TV :) Cheers.

I've pretty much bought all the first Corrado's I saw each time.. never regretted any of them! :) Just have a good look around, and just look for the usual problems you might on any car - blue smoke, odd noises, make sure it drives straight and true, look for rust, etc etc :) Good luck!

My gut feeling tells me there's no way that Merc has the claimed 840BHP. Even if it had traction issues getting off the line I just don't think it'd have been scalped so badly by the Golf!

Mechanic needed in Surrey (sm1) or surrounding areas ...

Another thumbs up for John Mitchell / JMR Racing. Great guy, and knows Corrado's inside out :) -
Yeah - that's the problem. Unfortunately you'd need an extra control box, not unlike a car hands free kit or similar :(
-
I think you can, yes, if you have some kind of line-in input :)
-
DAB head unit cost £100 (and can be had cheaper!) and the aerial was about £20 I think. I wouldn't exactly say that was an extravagance :)
-
I'll get my coat then! :)

The only issue is the collar on the outer side protrudes out a bit awkwardly so you may struggle to press in this way. When we did the bushes on my old valver, we actually got the genuine VW tool which was a big vice type arrangement but came with die's that fitted the shape of the bush / collar. I guess take a look when you get them in and see - you may indeed be able to do a bolt / metal / diy type arrangement :)
-
If they've deleted the aerial, could consider getting a DAB head unit and using a film type aerial. That's what I use on my car and it blows AM/FM out of the water - I can pick up probably 50-60 stations and the quality is excellent compared to my old aerial where I could pick up some of the national stations, some of the time!
-
Cool - will have to watch that later :)

Hi Chris - just in case you're interested and it's the route you'd prefer to go down, G60 radiators are available from VW Classic Parts or VW Heritage :) http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/antrieb/motor/wasserkuehler-535121251b.html Cheers.

Just want to write an extra special thanks to easypops who sent me a Speedline centre cap absolutely free of charge and would not take any money even to cover his postage costs. Extremely generous and just another reminder that there are some absolutely sterling folks on this forum. Thank you :)

Check both your VW badge and Corrado badge are affixed correctly. Each use these little blue gromets - four on the Corrado badge, two on the VW badge. If one of these is missing, it's leaving quite a large hole for rain water to run in. You can get them new from your VW dealership for pennies!

OE. Definitely. I believe with poly you'll lose the passive rear steer effect... and in my experience (of driving a Corrado which was fully polybushed) the ride was back-breakingly hard and crashy.
