  1. Interestingly I've always had similar behaviour from my VR but only really when it's cold. Very similar to what you describe where you start to accelerate and it just feels as if it's trying to cut out almost, and then splutters back into life a bit again and then it's ok. Only really happens for the first 60 seconds of driving or so. Has done it for the last 4 years or so with no real hint of getting better or worse. I too have the SP263's but an engine rebuild hasn't changed the behaviour so it must be something electrical - a sensor or something.
  2. And I guess what's good for the goose is good for the gander.. this passed me by first time around.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-17946838
  3. To be fair there was a well written piece over the weekend from the executive producer of the show, which put across their side of the story and it has swayed my opinion somewhat that it wasn't a deliberate act (despite me being originally convinced it was): http://transmission.blogs.topgear.com/2014/10/10/top-gear-in-argentina-what-really-happened/ See what you think.
  4. I've changed your status accordingly. Cheers.
  5. I'm hoping Andi will spot this. I've not listed anything for sale with Panjo and have absolutely no idea how it works I'm afraid!
  6. Spotted I think a Bordeaux Pearl 16v just outside of Kings Lynn at about 2pm earlier today - was too slow to wave at them as I'm so unused to seeing Corrado's it caught me off guard!

  8. Your previous owner probably replaced with a preowned one then or something crazy. The one I just swapped out of mine must be as a minimum 4 and a half years old (how long I've owned the car.. though I suspect has never been changed) and still looked in as new condition to be honest, just gone on the bottom corner.
  9. I would suggest just picking up a replacement duct / vent part to replace the one you broke from the various cars being broken on the forum - pm lilfuzzer for example as he is breaking several cars I think :) They're not a commonly replaced part so I can't imagine it being expensive. In terms of the matrix itself, you have to bear in mind that in many cases most matrixes in Corrado's are the original ones - so maybe on 15-20 year old cars with 160,000+ miles on the clock. I can't imagine many Corrado's are going to carry on to do another 160k+ or live another 15-20 years so I'd just fit a good quality (e.g. from VW) replacement and be done with it :)
  10. Cheers Sean. I politely prodded him last time which got a response out of him but there's very little else we can do. There's no benefit to banning him or anything like that, as it means he won't be able communicate with anyone even if he wants to. Hopefully he's just extremely busy and will catch up soon.
  11. Hell, if they're good enough quality, someone like VW Heritage might buy a batch of them off you. Or even VW Classic Parts themselves!
  12. 500 sets?! Jesus... I know you should sell a lot but do you think 500 is possibly optimistic? Or are you hoping for sales worldwide? Either way I admire the effort you've put into getting these produced - I'd imagine you'll sell a lot on here! :)
  13. Probably because the tax the government makes on fuel is a percentage rather than a flat rate, so it's in their interest for the price of petrol to be as high as possible. Technically neither did the rest of the UK. You had your chance with the independence vote but it looks like the majority of the Scotland are happy with things the way they are?!
  14. Great how to - thank you very much for sharing it with everyone!
  15. So nice to see someone interested in helping the forum / community out rather than making some easy money, as these would be a very easy sale no matter the price. It's appreciated! Hopefully we can get something together to get these elusive parts duplicated as they're on a lot of Corrado owners shopping lists!
  16. Prior to a rebuild or anything similar, I'd look at a gearbox oil change for something like Redline MT90. Works really well in the Corrado gearbox and it's entirely possible it's never been changed!
  17. Have to agree about Clarkson, but it's so frustrating as some of his programming can be brilliant. The three documentaries he did about WW2 (Greatest Raid of All Time, the one about the Victoria Cross, and the recent one about the Arctic Convoys) were just brilliant television. But Top Gear generally has become a worn out format for me with only really the 'specials' only holding any real interest for me.
  18. Bump. Thought I'd read something about this on the forum. Went to see Ghost in the Shell at a local cinema this evening and as soon as I saw Batou's car I thought "Corrado" and then realised I'd read about it somewhere else. Definitely looks like a Corrado :)
  19. If you have their emails, drop KIPVW (Paul) or Butterfly (Judith) an email as they're in that neck of the woods and should know a couple of good places :)
  20. Well I hope that's the last of your woes for some time, Rog!
  21. Never seen that left hand one before.. very cool! :)
  22. Attachments on here work just fine - you just need to resize the pictures down to a sensible size first :)
  23. Be interested to know the answer to this too. I did a bit of Googling but came up blank on this, as obviously when I did my heater matrix it was like the devils dandruff with that foam just disintegrating everywhere! :(
