  1. Looks good, Dave! Be interested to hear how you get on with them over the coming months.
  2. Fantastic. I was just thinking having looked at some pictures on the net, that they didn't look very 'special' and should be copyable. Keep us posted!
  3. Are these still available new from VAG?
  4. Bucket list item is to at least get a passenger ride in a Veyron, but ideally drive one. How was it? :) Did you get to put your foot down?
  5. Mine too, sadly. They use it as a marketing tool (see the Golf GTI) and beyond that it seems they don't give a toss.
  6. Jim

    Nothelle anyone?

1 feedback seller. Lithuania. One for the brave I think.
  7. I'd agree with that, certainly. But you have to wonder if VW will ever actually attain that level of prestige as long as they continue to shun the enthusiasts.. or whether they're simply not interested, and only want to shift new / nearly new cars and just drop any support for them after 10-15 years.
  8. But look at Mercedes and BMW - they still make parts available for all of their old cars, and many of those are niche versions / derivations or didn't sell in especially high numbers. For example the E34 M5 sold only 1/9th of the amount of Corrado's sold yet I bet you can still walk into a dealership and order everything for one of those. Admittedly some parts will be shared with the 5 series, but I'm sure even all the M5 specific stuff is all still available. It's just VW / Audi who are woeful at this. Even legendary cars like the Audi Quattro which Audi have based a lot of their marketing on ever since that famous car, are pathetically supported by Audi in terms of parts availability. We've said it a number of times on here but VW don't deserve the enthusiast following they have.
  9. I like BMW's interiors. Clean, functional, and work nicely. The E38 7 series I had for a very short period of time was superb - everything worked perfectly and felt really solid.
  10. If it's twilight violet then it won't be a storm I'm afraid. What year the car (what reg?)
  11. There's a load of guides on YouTube on how to plastidip the bodywork, wheels, etc - worth a look :)
  12. Do we have any ideas on likely prices for these, guys? I've always been a stickler for keeping things mostly original but knowing the original Corrado VR6 fans are such a weak spot, inefficient, and expensive to replace when they go wrong, then I'd be interesting in picking up a set for my VR. Cheers.
  13. Is your car a G60? Is it a UK car?
  14. So it's coming from the spark plug end of the wire, or from the coil pack end? As you say probably worth swapping the leads first :)
  15. I did some reading around last night as I've got some spare bumpers I was hoping to get repainted eventually, and did read a few places that were saying that soda blasting was suitable for plastic parts such as bumpers.. so it seems it's going to be one of those things were you might get conflicting opinions on who you speak to!
  16. What are your misfire symptoms?
  17. Damn - they were too cheap!
  18. I'd suggest clearing cookies / history etc from your browser and trying again? Not had a 502 error on this site for a long time and the last time I was getting them was some cache / history problem which a full clear / reset fixed.
  19. I have to admit it has encouraged me a bit to think about making a start on tarting up other bits in the engine bay.. :)
  20. Popped out and grabbed a few pics for you :) https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1fJDWZF2UmyZGI1TlBKVXVMNkk&usp=sharing Original one is of course how it was after I removed it. The other three shots are of it in situ. Obviously you could remove the SAC sticker if you didn't want it there!
  21. Think he's saying the VR callipers will mount up to G60 carriers and discs OK :)
  22. Well done mate - well deserved :)
