  1. Hi mate - sorry, wasn't my intention to worry you! :) Was your supercharger kit shipped from the states? I just remember in recent years that the manufacturers in the USA were utterly oblivious of anything other than the cars sold domestically - so the 2.8 Corrado SLC was all they cared about. Things may well have changed in recent years and they might have a proper map for the european 2.9 now.. but there's certainly no harm in emailing them to confirm it.
  2. Isn't the map supplied by VF Engineering for US 2.8 litre Corrado's.. or have they got a proper UK map now? You may want to factor a custom rolling road remap at someone by Stealth if not.
  3. The late Corrado's had built in full closure - and what's likely is that the pulse time on the Toad alarm has not been setup properly long enough to actually fully operate the full closure system. If you want to test it works, open a window and the sunroof then get out of the car and lock the car from the key in the drivers door - but keep the key in the lock turned to the lock position - the window and sunroof should fully close :) That will confirm that your full closure system is working, and that the alarm just needs setting up properly to use it. Regarding the immobiliser problem - this has been discussed several bajillion times on here - here's a pertinent example from the sadly now passed away Chris Gaskell :(
  4. To be fair it's a bit far to come for a mug of Gluhwein, clumpy :)
  5. Another vote for the VR's in-built immobiliser.
  6. Could be bearings or, as I've found out recently, tyres! For some reason some tyres just wear weirdly on the Corrado. Run your hand along the tread on the inside of the tyre, and see if you can feel it worn unevenly. In my car I found that in some places, every other block of tread was worn slightly higher or lower than it's neighbour causing this very wheel bearing like noise when up to speed. New tyres fitted, noise has gone away. I'd never have believed it until I ran into the problem myself and got the exact same advice I'm giving you, off someone else on this forum!
  7. Well we'll see how we're doing by the start of October and see how folks feel if they have to pay a smidge more.
  8. No problemo! Hope you get the other bits you're looking for.
  9. Just a random number I plucked out of thin air :)
  10. Enter it without spaces so it's just one long number - e.g. 535123344A
  11. Easiest way really would be to order via these guys as they're an agent for VW Classic Parts in the UK.. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_vwclassicparts.home_lang_EN_country_GB.htm However if you want to deal direct, I believe you need to go through this website: http://www.vw-classicparts.de/bestand/bestand_int.pl?lang=en You enter the part number and add it to basket, and then I think you can produce an invoice from VW which you can then go through to pay. I've never yet ordered off VW Classic Parts directly though.. several folks on here have already ordered the scraper though :) If you do a quick search you should be able to find the part number.
  12. Driver side scraper seal is now available from VW Classic Parts in Germany :)
  13. Wish the trailer was on YouTube! :|
  14. We won't be able to run the day with 11 cars Mic - we actually NEED more cars to come along I think :(
  15. Replies seem to take a week or more at a time. I got some thumbnails through for scrutiny but they were so small I couldn't decide if the full size pictures would be any good so putting a purchase on ice for now!
  16. Well you'll be at the right place to fix it if it does blow up! If it helps put your mind at ease, in my 12+ years in the Corrado Club and having been to probably 10 or so rolling road days, I've never seen a car go pop on the rollers! :) I'll add you to the list :)
  17. A local'ish :) Welcome to the forum!

An old bookmark but should give you the info you need. It's also been discussed on this forum a million times :) http://web.archive.org/web/20050128030151/http://littlespiderdesign.com/vdub/5Lug/
  19. Yeah - I ordered a Hella one in the end too, from 'theradiatorshop' - cost me £140 delivered which isn't too bad. Though I noticed that the radiator on my car, which is now leaking and doesn't look too old, is also a Hella one.. doh :|
  20. Nope - I don't need any of these parts.. I was just curious. I did however enquire about VR6 radiators and they can supply an aftermarket but I guess 'Classic Parts Approved' VR6 radiator for just over 300 euros.
