LOL. Thread of the year. Thanks for the laugh and glad your car wasn't actually nicked! :)
-
Such an underrated movie.. I love it :)
-
Here's a question - it says it should be inspected regularly. My lockup garage has, I believe, an asbestos roof. I don't think in the last... 11 years of having it, the letting agents have been out to inspect it. Should I be kicking their butts and making them come check it over?

Watched Mystery Men recently? :)
-
It's what killed Steve McQueen! :|

I believe the only issues with asbestos come when you disturb it, subsequently getting dust out of it. You should be fine working in the garage provided you don't start smashing holes in the roof! :)

Yeah I don't think you can order from that site.. I think you need to go through this.. http://www.vw-classicparts.de/bestand/index_e.html Essentially you hunt out your part number and submit it for a "quote" and then they will send you back an invoice to pay...
-
Folks on here have ordered without any problems and they do have guys who speak english (see my thread, for the reply from them in Germany) - and they take PayPal now - so that should all help!

Dunno.. I think Kevin Bacon is a tough one to top!

http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=83151 See this thread mate. What's my reward? ;)

Good news folks. Out of curiosity I emailed the Classic Parts people in Germany about scraper seals as there seemed to be enough demand on here to maybe find out about another production run. Guess what.. apparently they're already available :) Go to http://www.vw-classicparts.de/shop/ You can order directly from them or, if your German is a bit rusty, you can order through VW Heritage. Hope that helps some people (which I'm sure it will!) Email is below..

Bens Corrado G60 - engine woes and a long to do list
Jim replied to bendunstan's topic in Members Gallery
Very nice. Always nice to see a G60 - really getting quite uncommon these days! Looks good too :) -
That's horrid to hear :( Been a while since someone's Corrado got nicked on here. Did the car have any kind of security / immobiliser?

Corrado Carbon Fibre Bonnets - Group Buy - LWS Design
Jim replied to Andrew_LWSDesign's topic in Parts for Sale
No worries mate - have a good trip! Even if it's not on for the RR Day, sure I'll make it to some other meets up north if not this year early next year! As you know I'm a bit of a stickler about not modifying Corrado's too much but a carbon bonnet is just something I've been thinking about for ages and ages! -
Yep - read the manual for your head unit. It should explain what needs swapping, if you don't already know.. most manufacturers provide cabling in their connector block specifically for this reason :)

Available new from VW Classic Parts in Germany! :-)

The one on the right in the first pic mate :-)

Very nice Eric - looks like a great day :) The number plate on that red 944 in the penultimate photo is rather close to your G60's!!

Corrado Carbon Fibre Bonnets - Group Buy - LWS Design
Jim replied to Andrew_LWSDesign's topic in Parts for Sale
Always liked the thought of a carbon fibre bonnet for my Corrado just to help take a bit of that weight off the nose of the VR. Maybe one day! Would love to have a drive in someones VR who does fit a carbon bonnet just to feel the difference. -
Corrado VR6 Storm value....????? Advice needed please guys..

Always a tough one - peoples opinions on here will always vary, but I reckon I'd have a go at listing it for sale about £6,500 or maybe even £7,000... yes it's 'generous' but it's a low mileage, seemingly very good condition Storm with a comprehensive history and two owners. I reckon someone looking for a decent example will pay over the odds no problem. Some people will say "Too expensive - it's just a Corrado" but I reckon you'd get a buyer.
